This is a unique idea - we usually don't get horror puzzle/strategy games, so I think it's awesome that you approached a horror theme from a new angle! I think that the 'slider puzzle' format is a good foray into indie game dev and easy to integrate a very polished presentation with the models and animations. However, there's only so far the puzzles can go with difficulty and strategy, and expanding the concept might require some additional features to flesh out the core idea. A reset function, some additional puzzle ideas, and maybe a little more detail on the game screen / background would go a long way!

Thanks for submitting the game to SCREAM JAM!

This is a really cool and well-executed concept. I don't know if you're planning to continue working on this after the jam, but I'd love to see a fully fleshed-out version at some point! Nice job!

Thanks! Yeah, now that I've had some positive feedback for the prototype I will hopefully add more levels and a bit more polish over time.  Thanks for playing :-)

I enjoyed the concept, love a good puzzle. It was pretty short, but of course, that's not really a negative with a game jam. Overall a strong entry! I only had two issues with it.

1. SUPER quiet. I could just barely hear it.

2. I messed up on the fourth level, and the game just froze. I had to refresh my browser to play again. A loss screen with an option to retry/restart would be appreciated.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions  :-)  Sorry, about the bug. I will look into it.

Gameplay
+ Line based puzzles is unique and cool mechanic
+ Good difficulty ramp and progression through levels
- Most of the puzzles to me felt too obvious - they didn't pose enough challenge to be interesting, or at least didn't subvert expectations. I noticed that each puzzle did have an "obvious" solution which would turn out to be incorrect and a real solution which was the obvious solution changed very slightly. This is typically good puzzle design imo, but the two solutions were immediately visible to me from the onset of each level. It might be due to the limited number of variables with your current mechanics. But hey, puzzles are extremely difficult to design, and while yours didn't hit the mark for me, they definitely are going in the right direction.

Art
+ Good Assets
+ Like the added scenery for each level
+ UI clean and understandable
- While parts are individually good, the game is missing a strong overall aesthetic, if that makes sense

Sound
+ Has SFX for everything! Too many games skim on sound
= That being said, I don't feel strongly either way about the sounds being used. While they definitely add to the game, I think you could be more creative in this category.

Bugs
+ None Found, Good job!

Oh, the game gets stuck at 98% in Chrome and Edge :( I really want to play your game, I hope you have time to have a look at that! Thank you!!

Sorry about that.  If you send me the error I'd be happy to have look at it. I'll be sure  to check out your game as well.

Hey I could finally play it! The game was neat! Very nice puzzle type. I think it would work better with an static camera like isometric. This way you coul add some background in simple 2D. I like it very much! Very good!
