Message from the artist
I've been a big fan of Kirill Pokrovsky's music for the Divinity series, so i wrote a sort of tribute track where i tried to get some of the ambience that his works had. I also put a rough sketch of a tavern tune at the end, that i started but couldn't finish in time.

Kontakt Factory Library (Nylon Guitar, Fiddle)
Allura Volume 1 (Soprano Voice)
Hollywood Percussion (Shakers & Tambourine)

I also recorded some of my own whistling and singing for the tavern music sketch. Im not really a singer, so the quality of the singing is pretty poor (matches the tavern vibe in a weird way i guess?).

I really liked both of these tracks! I've not played the Divinity games myself, but I feel like this gave me a really clear idea of what their atmosphere is like - not an easy thing to do in 3 minutes of music :)

The first one is so soothing!! I feel like I could just melt away. Had it on repeat for a while too! Thanks so much for sharing!!!

Really nice, atmospheric first track - the inspiration is clear but I think it fits the theme you were going for.

The tavern track was a little chaotic in parts (understandable as it is unfinished! but there is definitely something there - I even wonder if that chaos actually gievs it a sense of extra authenticity? After all, what real tavern song would be super polished! It almost had a fun end credits kinda vibe to it. Definitely one to finish off when you have time but I would try to keep as much of that raw organic energy as possible!

Very good sound for such a small set of instruments, nice job!

Hard to describe the feeling this composition provides for me...I'm not familiar with the source of inspiration, so this is coming from a blind listener.

I just picture myself at a campfire, stars overhead. I just finished some large battle, or maybe I'm preparing for one. Perhaps one I'm not sure I can win.

I love the tavern bit at the end as well. It really gives off the warmth of such a place.

This is so solid. Great work.

There was a radio station that I listened to as a kid when my family went camping called KINK FM Lights Out that played gorgeous music that was more relaxed for night time. This first song would have fit in so well with those types of songs. It feels very nostalgic to me in a way that you never could have meant, but I appreciate it all the same. The guitar, bells, choral synths, and high reverb that you use is like a recipe for calm and elegant beauty. The tavern piece is also fantastic. Even though it’s shorter, it still feels complete, like it would belong in a fun cutscene. The whistling is my favorite part! I love that you included multiple takes that were each slightly different. Great work and thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much! I've been a big fan of chill/atmospheric music for a long time. Kirill Pokrovsky, who's more spacey stuff i tried to ape with the first track, uses a lot of new agey style effects in his music which i love (washed out reverbs and delays on instruments).

I love how you managed to give this kind of ambience with a simple orchestration on the first piece. I'd have loved to hear the tavern song complete, it was fun!

Thank you! A lot of the ambience comes from the heavy dosage of delay and reverb.

Fun stuff man, I love the tavern music. Silly in the pleasant immersive way. :)
