A fellow lmms user! I like the vibing that it gives. I see your using 1.2.2, I recommend you to update to 1.3.0, it let you do a better work at mixing and master. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for the suggestion...I didn't know they had updated it!

Yeah, fellow LMMS user! (sometimes I still regretting switching from it)
Very pleasant composition, I really liked percussion + bass part, so well suited together. Great job!

Developer

Thanks!

You've brilliantly succeeded the challenge  (thanks for posting the chords). The music and melody remain consistent throughout, despite the changes in harmony.

You didn't need to modulate, which is great.

The mood is very nice.

But I'm going to reiterate some things that have been said in previous comments: why the white noise? And also, the attack of a synth is very short and causes a little click from 1'22".

Otherwise, it's really great.

Developer

Thanks!  The white noise is a voice titled "the_rain", so it is supposed to be nature sounds-ish given the setting to fade into and out of the song, but seems like that kind of missed the mark.

I heard it with headphones on, it was pleasing to listen to. I had to lower the volume though, there was a low frequency that sounded like a metronome, it was a little too loud. The rest of the experience is flawless.

Developer

Thanks!  I don't have experience at mixing/mastering, so I actually used BandLab auto master for the first time...so between that and not being that great at setting volume levels probably is what is leading to that.

I'm getting a really joyful vibe from this. Nice one!

I like a lot about this track, the sounds themselves are wonderful, and both the composition and the arrangement make for a very solid track. It gives me a feeling of nostalgia, thinking of something good that has gone, but in a positive way that makes me smile. It's a beautiful track.
One thing I don't understand is the meaning of the white noise. What does it mean to you in this track?

Developer

Thanks! The white noise is a voice called "the_rain" so it's supposed to be a nature-based intro and outro considering the image of the theme.  A few others mentioned that as well so it appears as though that didn't quite come through.

I think your description very accurately portrays the vibe here - it feels like ancient city with an energy power source lol Atlantis pretty much :D

Really good vibe and great instrument choices. I love the goove that come in with the electronic bits. Good build into the song as well! Stellar job!

Developer

Thanks!
