Hey, our mastering engineering managed to work on the track, so we included it in the compilation :) https://mirlo.space/friendly-music-jam/release/friendly

Nice album, there is a lot of exploration and all done properly. I really like Unordinary World because of its rhythmic pattern. I'm very interested in rhythms that seem to be going a certain way, but then they go another way, which is not simply using an odd signature, it has to do with expectations and surprise. I think this track does it very well. Piano's plenty is a really nice composition, and it really shows your skill. I would say my favorite track is "Now Rest". I wad listening to it without knowing the title, and it felt like a safe place where could stay for long without threats, so the title is pretty accurate. In general, the sound is fantastic on this track, probably the most complete of all. Great work, thank you so much for being part of this!
I really like this project. Every track is surprising in its own way. Mmmbada has a really nice beat, and Mr Mastodon Farm is this hypnotic loop that makes me wish it kept evolving and going on. In general, I like the unpredictability and lightheartedness that marks your style. Something so simple as Mr Silverfish ends up stuck in my head. The voice is excellent, and it really shows in the last track - the harmonies are beautiful. Great work, thank you for joining!
Thank you for taking the time to listen and comment. I really appreciate what you said, and the feedback on the last track is pretty accurate. I listened to the track again and now totally agree with you, the ending would have been much smoother without the bell. I always exaggerate with the bells :D
Beautiful album, it is a nice journey, nice buildup of energy up to track 4 and perfect closure on track 5. I really like this kind of guitar, it is gentle and emotional, and brings me back to certain old, soft Buckethead's tracks. But you add something more with your sound design that gives an ethereal feel to the whole. Track 4 is definitely my favorite, I like the energy there, that doesn't disrupt the gentleness of the album but just takes it to the peak. Great work, thank you for taking part in this jam!
What I like about this album is that all the tracks take me to a meditative state, but each one takes me to a different state. Even the ones with a more impactful groove such as Exhalation and Clockwork work well in that sense. The groove is great but not distracting from the emotions that I can sense. I really like the opening track, as it perfectly sets the mood for the rest, but totally agree on Exhalation as the track for the compilation. Also, some very good mixes! Congratulations on making such a good work, for completing your first album of 2026, and for enriching this jam with your presence :)
Hey! The idea behind Jamuary is to get something done every day. It's usually a new piece of music every day, and it can range from a musical idea to a full track, it's really up to the jammer. It's also totally normal to skip some days (I never managed to get a perfect streak)
For this specific jam, the first 23 days are really about generating a lot of music: many small, daily jams indeed. Near the end, it makes sense to pick what you have already done and finalize the tracks, unless you want to keep generating.
Keep in mind that you don't have to submit 31 songs. You may even decide that you just want to submit one song, so no pressure on working every day and having 31 high-quality, mixed and mastered tracks.
Thanks for listening and for the accurate feedback. I think your comment helps me understand clearly what the issue with repetition is. It is true that in certain genres repetition is conventional, but since that's not my target, it makes sense to discard bars that are almost exactly repeating the previous ones. The second build up is a valid example, as it extends the wait for the breakdown without really adding much. Thanks again :)
Thanks a lot! The part at 3:00 is my favourite, so I'm glad you enjoyed :) I get what you mean about the usage of the voice, and I think you're right. At some point I also felt that it was too present and decided to make variations, but the first step should always be to reduce what is too much! I'll try not to forget that!
What I like the most is the whackyness of the rhythm, it's so nice, bouncing the listener here and there. The instruments speak so well with each other. The occasional cameos of other instruments also work really well. It's a crazy track, but it all makes sense. It must have been difficult to have so much going on and keeping it sane. Great work!
The idea of having a solid beat and bass to support the "bad connection" effect works really well. The two parts complement each other. A very solid mix, very deep. I like how you used the 9/4, it took me a while to understand how you subdivided it, I hear it as 4+1+4 which is really cool because that 1 looks like it's the end of a 5/4 but then te bar keeps going. Really nice
An evocative track, it surely tells the story that you described. The central part is especially very emotional to me, that's the moment in which the brighter feelings of the journey kick in. I think you did a good work with the piano and having the guitar be only a support. It was a good choice and well executed.
One note on the mix, there were certain times when all instruments played at the same time and it sounded a bit weird, I think at 0.35 it even clipped. But in general the mix is also good. Good job!
Nice mood. The whistling and humming are a good addition to the feeling of a carefree climb, I appreciated them. Nice bending too, it makes me feel as if the climb is surely a nice time, but not effortless. I was a bit disoriented by the very first bend, maybe it's a bit weird to have it as the very first (actually second), isolated sound in the track. But it might be really subjective.
Nice work :)
This is insane, I love it. You broke the rules of music biz and discography haha. By the way, excellent sound on all genres, there are some switches that are so powerful in the change of genre, yet so smooth and flawless as if it was a natural step. The evolution from the beginning to the first "drop" is well structured and totally believable as a unique song.
I must admit that in the dubstep part and the in the psytrance and its surroundings I was a bit lost- meaning that I lost track of the initial theme of the track which did not return until the next ambient part came. I know the track is already quite long, but probably having two stable verses and drops before going to the most surprising genres, maybe extending each genre to a few more bars, could increase the cohesiveness. But I get you maybe didn't want to make a 10 minutes track haha
Still, super impressive work, I'm galvanized :D
The story is well told, the contrast between sections is effective. The increase in tempo works perfectly to convey the idea of a crisis happening. The return to the quiet is really nice, the happy ending of a troublesome time. I have one comment regarding the mix, the harp tends to disappear when other instruments come in, which to me is a pity because it sounded nice. The track overall is really nice, well done!
Glad that you did your first jam with us :) the track is very spicy, I like all the dissonance and the breakbeat. It's quite hypnotic, and you definitely broke the rules in a good way. My ears were begging for some low end element, a nice kick or bass, or even just some ambience, could have taken the track to another level. But it's already really good
