This is a review for v1.0.pptx:

As others have already said, this is a very well polished game. The artwork is fantastic, and the background animations are a nice touch. The music also works very well. As far as gameplay goes, memory games like this are nothing new, and they get pretty dull pretty quickly. But that aside, I can certainly appreciate that you've created a perfectly adequate memory game. I don't have any criticisms of the game mechanics from a technical point of view.

Overall a very neat game, and I look forward to seeing any more projects you create in the future.

Nice game! I included it in my PowerPoint Game Jam: March compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

I sadly didnt get to try out any other submissions but i gotta say im really impressed, you made a random number generator in power point and a memory game! I also love your icons and the use of the theme. Looking forward for your next game!

Very nice game! Extremely competent, but also fitting choices in graphics and audio. I enjoyed my time with this.

I'm in love with this memory game. The music is well-chosen, the lighting effects are subtly effective, and the loading screen is just adorable! I also like that the reward is educational. I could see young audiences learning while having fun.

Thank you for you review! It was meant to be educational (for kids), hence the choice of music and art. But I thought the difficulty aspect, especially the Hard level, is for more experienced players. I'm glad you enjoyed!

This is a fabulous game! I made a You Tube tutorial on making 'card flip' memory game, but you seem to have taken the approach to a new level.

I have just two minor issues. The first is the length of 'loading' time (and is anything actually loading?) The second is the amount of time given to complete each level. It's probably my poor memory but I couldn't get beyond three matches before the sun went down. I would love to see the PPTX version to see what's happening behind the scenes.

PS - Further to your comment on my Virus game, I have since made 'Mastermind'. I will be putting a preview version of it on the forum I co-admin soon. PowerPoint Creative

Thank you for your review!

The "Loading..." slide is the animation reset slide which is set to transition after 0 seconds. It was originally blank but I noticed during early testing that the slide doesn't always transition quickly. I added the "Loading..." text to let players know that the game hasn't crashed and that it is literally loading.

You may also be referring to the "Selecting random level" slide. There are actually invisible objects moving around that slide that link to a specific level upon mouse over. In short, the level selected is based on when and where the cursor moves so if the cursor is idle, the slide won't transition.

I also received feedback from friends that the hard levels were very difficult (I've only finished a hard level twice and that's only because I'm very familiar with the animals and I've tested it a lot of times). However, I decided to keep it that way for players who want a challenge.

I will post a devlog on how the game works soon!

P.S. I will check it out when it's released!

Thanks for the explanations. It was the 'Selecting Random Level' slide I was referring to. I guessed that there would be some kind of moving transparent links, but I haven't come across them to work on mouse over before.

PS - MasterMind is now available on the forum (which will also use 'randomiser' links in the final version)

This is the best game by far in this Game Jam that actually fits the Nature Theme! It has the sense of Randomness which in unheard of in most PowerPoint games and it's extremely polished too! Great Job NemoPearwall!
