Great idea! The player controller is good and the jetpack fits in well! My only compliant is that some of the obstacles blend in with the background.

Well done! Visuals lack some clarity where the obstacles are, but all in all - quite small game

Great game! The graphics look very professional and the animated GUI makes the whole game experience a lot more interesting. Additionally, I liked the small details you added, such as background particles, which fit the old factory vibe. I will say, though, that the jetpack is a little slow for my liking, and even though the decorations look fantastic, it's a little hard to differentiate backdrop/decorations and the actual parts of the level. In terms of the sound effects, the background ambience and steam/jetpack sounds match the factory setting, although, as other people mentioned, some background music would be nice.

Overall, great game! It's really polished, and everything fits together. Good luck in the game jam.

It's a very interesting game:

Strengths:

Nice graphics, simple but interesting;

Great atmosphere;

Interesting gameplay, I like the inspiration from jetpack joyride;

Quite original;

Leaderboard online, few have put it up, great job!

Points of weakness:

The sound effects are a little too loud;

The player is a bit slow;

Some background music would have been nice;

The character flickers a bit while walking (I don't know if you played the game with Unity [but I think it's similar for others too] but if so, to fix it, try setting Rigidbody2d to interpolate).

Overall, given the short time frame, you did an excellent job!

Great game! I would like bigger platforms or less movement from the character as the character moves too much when on the floor.

Submitted(+1)

good game but the movement is the weak point of this game, the movement is good but you are soo heavy.

Submitted(+1)

Really cool game!

I like the movement and the sounds!

I think the controll are to heavy and you get stuck, but it is probaly intended. I realy like the player feedback when you overheat, and the art ist realy nice. I cant play it in browser thougth, and the main mene sound gets annoying. But all in all a nice plattformer but i wish that the movement would feel better.

This is a speedgame. And do you know what it should have? Speed. A way for the players to get faster if they learn the mechanics properly. Not from just not dying. I think the game looks beautiful, but my gosh is this character slow. The jetpack is slower than the actualy player walking, and it doesn't recharge while airborne? Why? I mean, you could have a small cooldown before it recharges instead of me having to wait on the ground for the warning sign to stop beeping. A restart button would be nice, because I found myself in a lot of situations where I know I'm dead, and I'm waiting to die. At that point just end my misery quick. The first checkpoint timer should just restart when you fail, because it's just time loss to die and then see the timer still going.

I don't want to wait for my jetpack to choose when we're going, I want to be more in control. Let me restart with the press of a button. Let me recharge the jetpack while not using it. Let me choose when I fall into a pit, and not my character slipping on a random bar of soap.

On a real note though this game looks great, and the SFX are on point. Could maybe use calm music or ambient sounds, but the focus should be on how the character controls if people should want to play this game multiple times to improve their time.
