I really enjoyed this. I find the entire game loop extremely fun and relaxing.

Some improvements that could add to the overall experience

  • Some audio
  • Visual Indicator that the machines are finished, primarily the autofisher

Overall really solid game, great job.

Developer

Thank you :)

I will add some more visual feedback in the next patch to make it more clear for the players on what's going on, and will look into adding audio

I love this! I could genuinely see myself playing this to pass the time, as I do enjoy this sort of game. I think the way you gradually lose speed alongside temperature is neat and realistic, it encourages you to ensure you have enough heat to make it back to the shop and makes the drinks quite an important item.

This could be an issue on my end, but I did end up being unable to place drills after a while? The round thing showed up but no matter how long I held left click down or where I tried to place it in regards to the scanner (it showed 1 and in the menu I hovered over a level one) it just wouldn't place. Again could be my laptop rather than a game issue.

And some feedback:

  • An in-game reminder of the controls would be nice, as I would forget and have to come out of fullscreen (couldn't see important stuff without) which just broke me away from the flow
  • Maybe a visual indicator or further explanation of when a hole is out of fish? It took me quite a while to realise the loading bar showed collecting fish, so I would be standing next the drill for much longer than necessary

Overall, I really enjoyed this! I think this is a great submission and will be coming back once I have a bit more time to play more :D

Thanks for the feedback! I don't think there was an issue with your device, but rather the game not explaining well what's going on. In the next update I'm planning on adding more info when it comes to placing items as each item has a set of requirements which is difficult to teach to players through 1 short tutorial. It should explain more what's going on and why you aren't able to place down a certain item.

Glad you enjoyed it!

The game was great! I love the concept and loved the art style!

Few things to note here:

  • There wasn't any audio, it took away from the overall experience.
  • I feel like the game lacks a sprint, I just feel like you are too slow, particularly at the beginning.

Overall, I really enjoyed this, is was a fun concept, well done! :)

Developer

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback.

I'll make an update after the voting period is over with some bug fixes and changes with your feedback in mind.

Very interesting game, I like the atmosphere of the ice planet! :D

Some notes:

  • I would have preferred to be able to click the “space” button with the mouse :)
  • I’ve done two runs, but in both I can’t place the third drill, even though the scanners tell me there’s “space”… it’s a bug or am I missing something?
Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

For the third drill, there has to be a scanner on the ground showing the number "3", and you need to have a tier 3 drill selected from the menu. I did notice a bug where the icons are rotated so it might be confusing on which drill you've selected, but the icon should still show what tier it is, for example "III"

I figured the number above the scanner indicated how many drills you could place, not what type! Okay, my mistake… I didn’t read the tutorial carefully! :)

That's fine! It's a good indicator that it's not very clear. I'll change it for the next update  as the displaying number was a bit rushed
