  • GDD: Nice to see an image of early version of the game. Wish there were gifs / images in game mechanics section. Nice to see an MVP (Minimum viable product), would love more to see an timeline. Glad to see beyond is included. I do hope you are also planned to update the game with these ideas. Game: The story button is fun. Nice to see an options menu - Wish there were more options tho. Animated main menu is cool. The game is fun. Won after 200 rounds with 101 PB troops. Fits the theme very much.

Great game. I wish to see more levels in the future!

Developer

Thanks for taking a look into our first game jam game :) i am afraid that this project has come to it end. But you never know :)

Simple, fun, and even though RNG heavy, it had ample room for strategies to arise. Almost two hours went by, I’m late to everything now haha

Developer

Thanks for taking your time to play and comment. Welcome back to spend more time :D

Cute game, some artwork can be synced on, the intro is very much different to compare to the main game. Little too much text on the  "how to play" but I manage to figure the game without it so no harm. Simple and easy to get going, too a while but I manage to win, I wish it could go little faster, especially when I move and need to wait for the enemy.

Developer

Thanks for trying it and leaving comment! How to play will have shorter version, we didn't want to do any changes until all games are judged.

I really like the game! The artwork is really cute, and the game is very challenging. It takes a moment to finish a round. You did a great job incorporating the theme! Keep making games!

Developer

Thanks for the nice words! I am already trying to convince our team to join the next pirate jam too ,)

Great entry! Well created art, sfx and concept. I think might be nice for the player to know from some sort visual cue what the dice rolls ended up being for those moments when you get either a very bad or good roll :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for such a nice words. Initally we had a plan to show the dice rolls, but ended up having too little time to do it. Might do later.

Like the concept. Simple , more levels coming?

Developer

Half burned bread level, with only 50% of bread to use, or maybe rye bread or french loaf?

Yes, we have been thinking that. I think there might be something coming. :)

Thanks for playing and commenting!

Nice! Well done. This reminds me of old strategy games! And it's quite hard too.

Developer

Thank you for, was nice to make it and plan it. (:

Cool concept, the game wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. It seems that the ennemy can move 2 times in a row is that correct or a bug?

Developer

Thanks for playing! <3

Went to check the enemy movement and it seems to work okay for me. Might seem like double move if there spawns a new troop in their area or if they move the big blob of 4 troops.

Will check again later to make sure I catch it, if it is bug. Thanks for reporting it!

Submitted(+1)

It happened pretty frequently too, the enemy would move and attack, then move and attack again!

Developer(+1)

Okay, really big thanks for reporting this. Will try to find out what is causing it.

Actually a really interesting concept! I kinda felt like i was playing a weird form of checkers.
Very much an enjoyable experience and yes as others have mentioned, a win screen would help, I thought there might have been more i wasn't understanding.

Fun and a good puzzle game!
PS. 792 turns to take over the whole board. XD

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Nice to hear someone on comments beat the game :D

I was fun until i (think i) won, maybe add in a YOU WON and YOU LOST other than that well polished and fun!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words and feed back. Indicators for battle results and for victory / loss are on the way =D

Alpha looking rly good!! It would be good if you had a visual cue to when you fail or succeed to attack or defend. If you want to practice on the code of the game, I would suggest trying to put more enemy teams on the game.

Developer(+1)

Thank you from your kind words!

First multiple enemies, those would have to be butter an honey! Maybe in later stages, will let our team know about this suggestion.

Battles will be having some cue what happened and who won, hopefully before deadline. :D

Developer(+1)

Game still in alpha stage, so lots of issues. But wanted to share it :)
