Which path did you choose?

Fresh Build

How does your game bring our theme, OUT OF TIME, to life?
The game embraces Out of Time by focusing on musical misalignment. The player must clap off-beat on purpose, staying rhythmically out of sync with the music to succeed.

What did you do to ensure accessibility of the game?
The game includes three difficulty levels so players of different skill levels can enjoy it and ease into the mechanics at their own pace.

Did you include the Indieformer or Patch Notes logo somewhere in your game?

Yes

If AI was used in your game, let us know how you used it.
AI was used sparingly to help identify minor bugs I couldn’t track down in time, and to generate background art due to time constraints (and drawing ineptitude) during development.

In my opinion, it would be nice if there were a penalty for failure. I wasn’t exactly sure what counted as success or failure, so I just kept mashing A and L. That said, the music was exciting, and the generous scoring made me feel good.

Thanks for your comment!

There is a penalty for failing and missing notes, but it only reduces the combo slightly. I felt that resetting the combo to zero would be too punishing, especially for new players, but I agree the feedback could be clearer and I’ll look into better ways to communicate success and failure.

Thanks a lot for playing!
