Hey everyone!

We are super excited to share our game "Bug Card" with you! This was the first time that I teamed up with zlhss to create a complete game together (we had previously only worked on some basic gameplay prototypes, but never a fully realized project).

When we first saw the jam theme, we were genuinely surprised and delighted (Our first thought: "Wait, does this mean we finally don't have to fix our bugs?" 馃槀). It sparked so many ideas! We eventually narrowed it down to four concepts: a card game, a maze explorer, horror game, or a 2D adventure. The final decision was made in the most fitting way—we drew lots, and the card game won!

From that point on, we poured all our time and passion into this project. We spent days and nights discussing mechanics, drawing assets, coding features, designing levels, and yes... fixing bugs (turns out we still had to fix them, cry 馃槶). We were basically glued to our computers right up until the final hour before the submission deadline. It was intense, but the entire process was incredibly enjoyable and rewarding.

We really hope you have fun playing it!

A little insider tidbit: That deck of cards on the side isn't just a static image! We actually built a fully functional card-drawing logic for it, but we simply ran out of time to design a game mechanic that utilized it properly. Maybe next time!

Your feedback, comments, and ratings would mean the world to us! It's the best way for us to learn and improve.
