How does your game bring our theme, The Error is the Feature, to life?
This demo introduces the chaotic element we planned for the full game, the transitioning between the normal world and mirror. There were other elements planned, such as one dimension only bullets or platforms, but there just simply wasn't enough time. Here, when you enter the mirror world by shattering through reality, you get double damage but double the health loss, kind of similar to the "glass cannon" concept in fighting games. But either way, take this demo of our initial concept and vision.

Did you work in a team? If so, link their itch profiles.
Yes, 3 people in the team, including me. See the admins in the game page (i'm currently uploading at night, 7 hours before the deadline, and 2 of the team members are asleep so there's no way i can ask for their itch profiles. tomorrow, when they wake up, i will add them)

Did you include a fake publisher splash screen at the start of your game?

Yes

Did you use the Audius API in your game?

No

If AI was used in your game, let us know how you used it.
AI was used but only in utilitarian purposes, like upscaling images or giving Unity advice regarding coding.

The shooting felt really weird

Submitted(+1)

I really like sound design and visual effects. But i have problems with shooting... I don't understand how to aim.

Developer(+1)

true. i know that the aiming is really weird. i wanted to patch it but left it out as an “intentional bug”: that was a mistake xd

The death music is top and I liked that two-dimensional thing, but I don't know if it's an error or the game itself, but there were times when the shot only went downwards, thanks for rating my game.

The warping vfx and the look of the mirror dimension is really cool. The concept of alternating between them is awesome, but I wish there was a reason to change more often. Maybe the player slowly goes insane in the mirror dimension, or that instead of double damage, enemies split into two every so often (so staying too long would result in an exponential increase in enemies). A extra feature ontop of the mirror dimension will make this pretty unique!

Developer

thanks! yeah, the initial purpose of this mirror thing was to dodge bullets from bosses (instead of just rolling), or activating platforms/disactivating walls. but there just wasnt enough time. maybe i should finish the initial idea?
