Very cool! Took me a moment to figure out how to start the game, but the gameplay itself was a lot of fun. You did a good job tying the dangers in with the music, and I really smiled when - well - a train appeared suddenly.

Developer

I'm glad you find the game entertaining. And yeah the train was the first thing that came to mind when I try to visualize how the game would play out.

It was very fun! The explode-all thing is nice and well it's based on a game that is good (I think, I haven't played it lol) and you executed it well. The only thing I'd change would be to make the menu a bit less cluttered  and more intuitive, and more songs, but, well, it's a jam

Ayy thanks. This is our first time making a main menu and we didn't know how to enforce an aspect ratio :(. We really wanted to make more songs but each takes a long time. Glad you enjoy the game tho

Not sure if I'm playing it wrong or there's a bug - but it seems to just be stuck in what looks like the 3rd screenshot. I can move, and press shift to do the zoom thing  - but nothing else is happening. No enemies, no bullets, etc. Just the one non-moving laser line and the room I'm stuck in. There was a block on the other side of the laser that exploded when I went onto it, but it didn't change anything. Am I missing something?

You can interact with the UI. That's how you load the level. Sorry if that's not clear. I'm referring to the song list.

OH! That helps! Very cool! I love how you timed the dangers to the music! Congrats for making this for the jam!

Developer

I'm happy that you like it. Did you think the way you get to the level was particularly confusing? Should I add that to the game's description to clarify?

Yes, adding that to the game's description or in-game would be useful! From the in-game instructions, I thought it was a keyboard game, and that it had already begun because I could move. Alternatively, allow the player to walk to the song to choose it.
