Message from the artist
Paul is exploring his own inside world of memories, regrets, achievements, while in the middle of a bridge, and his life, with only the surface of the water mirroring his internal reflection.

This is my submission for the OST Composing Sandbox Jam. I imagine a game where you join Paul on his internal adventures, finding peace in letting the past be the past, but also in being able to find pride in the past.

The theme of reflection is central in the game, and also in the composition. The composition is not only horizontally symmetrical, but also a lot of vertical elements are: the arpeggios (giving voice to the water) are mirrored vertically with the note D (or Ab, depends how you look at it) as the point of vertical symmetry. The lead sound (giving voice to Paul) mostly stays around the note D, indication a sort of indecisiveness, neutrality, and peace. When the melody moves up from D, it will also move down from D, making it a very balanced melody.

The composition was made using Fruity Loops, with Vital. It draws inspiration from: c418, Radiohead, Disasterpeace, Lena Raine, Christopher Larkin, Brian Eno, Aphex Twin.

The composition is 3:07 long, in the genre of Minimal Electronic.

Thank you for reading!

I like what you've done to characterize everything with your composition and instrumentation. I really like the middle section, I feel the chaotic progressions are a great portrayal of your story. This was a nice listen!

I bet Paul got some Wet Hands...

But on a more serious note, this composition is amazing. Incredibly atmospheric, and the backstory in the description only adds to the overall impression. Great job!

This is beautiful. I was really thrown off with the dissonant part, but then I read what this is about and I understood.  Very clever piece, nicely done, great work.

This is really great, I don't expect a lot of people to appreciate this but it's an actual top 10 of the jam for me.

Making the track Vertically symmetrical and also horizontally symmetrical is a really creative touch!

While I wasn't the biggest fan of the chaotic middle section I understand it from a narrative standpoint.

I think this is a really good entry and gets bonus points for the vertical symmetry!

I really like how you made the transition from the chaotic middle section to the calm section after it!

Nice track man, the reverse part in the middle was very unique sounding, I kinda liked it!
