Good pacing, nice submission.

Super cool! I love the slow and epic pace, and it sounds great in both directions!

Wow! Spooky space vibe. I love it. I can see where Crab Canon inspired you and I think it was done wonderfully! Good job!

The reversed part was very solid, it retained the melodic idea and I honestly wouldn't think it was a reversed audio if you isolate that for me to listen. More instruments and flourishes would be cool but I understand how that could be tricky with the challenge.

Cool arpeggios and catchy track!

Submitted(+1)

The moment the track is reversed works very very well! So satisfying to hear. Perhaps there could be some variations of the material, like introducing different rhythmic patterns or more varied melodic motifs. Anyway, you did a great job!

Wow it's really satisfying to hear those chords play in reverse at 0:58. There's something so hopeful there. Feels like floating. Great use of arpeggios!

Developer

thanks I really appreciate it!

Gosh, I can't quite think of the retro ost it reminds me of but I think the ducktales comparison is pretty spot on too.

The turnaround is nice too, that little part where the mirrored pieces meet gives a neat little bit of syncopation that I'd've loved to have heard more of.

The way the track reversed to start playing backwards sounded really neat! almost like it slowed down a little as it made a U-turn.

My favorite part was when the bass came in since it added much needed texture.

I think the  high line might have gotten a tad repetitive over time however. I think a change in the rhythm at some point would help a lot. Especially since the change would happen twice with the reversal.

yeah, I agree.  C difficulty made it hard for sure, but I'm always looking to improve. Thanks for the input!

I got a strong NES vibe from this. Really nice stuff!

Well done using analog waves, its the simplier method to get an easy effect when going backward without messing up the sound too hard.

OMG! I had the same idea of using Crab Canon as a reference, you did a killer job. It also sounds kind of like Duck Tales for the NES!

Thanks! I love that song (DuckTales) so that's a huge compliment for me.
