This is a cool adaptive track! I like that your orchestration mimics the game description in that the initial style has more harmonic structure and instrument voices whereas the cyberpunk textures are more sparse acoustically showing us that there are “less lifeforms”. I agree that if the tabla drums were a mistake, they were a very good one! I like the history/future juxtaposition as well. Good work and thanks for sharing!

Theme:
How does it fit the theme?
The first idea for this soundtrack was a RTS game where the player can freely switch between an historic and a sci fi time period which having each different advantages and challenges. However during the composition it shifted maybe more to an fantasy world meets cyberpunk world game (maybe an RPG or action like game). The first half with the orchestra represents a medival fantasy world prospering with many life filled, the second half tries to capture a open, empty, but dangerous dessert cyberpunk scenario missing recourcess and with less lifeforms. The second part was heavy influenced from current hip-hop music . The weird talking drum pattern in the middle of the track (was at first a sleep deprived accident, but I somehow like it) underlines the restlessnes and the constant moving forward of the game characters in the dessert cyberpunk world and creates a constant pushing forward contrasting the more static orchestral part in the beginning. The arpeggio which you hear from the start continues to the hole piece and works like a bridge (inspired by the game jams cover ) to connect these two different worlds. In the end orchestra and electronic music blending in together, to represent that these two worlds become more and more intertwined as the player progresses in the game.
Thanks for listening, I hope you enjoy it :)
