Description
I used Logic Pro as my DAW. All the synths and textures are created by me in Phase Plant. MVP effects plugins: Valhalla Supermassive, Rift, Tape Mello-fi, and bitcrusher. Gear I used: Shure sm57, a hand made human resistance synth, and a butter knife from my kitchen

You play as an inhabitant of a planet which finds itself in the way of another planet moving through space by an unknown force. The game play consists of you taking care of your garden, listening to the stories of the elders of the village, playing games with your family members, exploring the mountains, and trying to solve the mystery of the planet that will ultimately cause destruction to your home.

Track 1 - Worlds on Collision Course: Intended to be played at the main menu/beginning of the game. You're introduced to the town, the world, and the looming threat that it is faced with.

Track 2 - Worlds Touch: Track that plays in the last moments of the game. The second planet collides with yours ending the existence of both... or it doesn't depending on whether or not you solved it's mystery.

Artist comment:
I had a lot of fun working on this, I'm excited to see what everyone else made!

Theme:

Two Worlds
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
The game's premise is that two worlds are going to collide and how the people of one world react to that. I used glitchy sounds to reflect the picture theme as well as how the two worlds are intertwined and share a fate.

These tracks are very intricate, and at the same time flow very nicely and are very enjoyable to listen to. Thank you for sharing!

That was pretty good. So characteristic and the ambient is so different then i thought. Loved both but the first one is the way more interesting than the most of  other tracks in this jam. Impressive job, keep on!

Impressive textures. The glitch effects are really super cool. Textures like this, unfortunately, is something that I never could understand how to do. So I have nothing bad to say except that all around, I'm just super impressed :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I put a lot of time into making the glitch effects and textures so I'm glad you find them cool :)

Really great stuff. I really liked the subdued glitchy percussion in the first track and how in ties in with the much more pronounced glitch effects of the second track. I also really liked the contrast between the deep bass and the airy, higher pitched synths in the second track. The piano section at the end was also a great touch. It added a haunting sense of finality which I think fits the description you gave for the second track very well. Very cool vibes overall.

an incredible combination of textures. I love how the tracks are so similar and yet the second is more glitchy sounding to match the song names.

Melodies kinda run throught my fingers, can't touch them, eerie atmopsere, distortion attack... interesting experience.

Well done!

Worlds on Collision Course: Neat ambience with the various pads. Quite comforting if it weren't for the buzzing chirps. This subtly hints at the danger.  Fits the theme well!

Worlds Touch: Great ambient soundscape here too. Short subtle melodies add to the mix. Piano part at the end is very pretty!

Developer

I'm glad you liked the piano part! I almost didn't put it in

i'd expect "worlds touch" to be a lot fuller and busy than the other one but you really subverted my expectations here. i think it really works tho

and both songs sound great btw

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed them

Ok, I think with these two you managed to control my heartbeats per second. Really enjoyable, with Worlds on Collision Course being especially chill, with all those crisp particles used as drums and the bass kicking in every 2 bars or 4 bars. Makes for a pretty inviting main menu theme imo.

The release in Worlds Touch was also very chill while having an... "intense" feel? Anyway, I really liked that too.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! That was the feel I was going for with Worlds Touch so I'm glad it showed

I love this so much! I love the glitchy beat of Worlds on Collision Course, and Worlds Touch almost gives me Outer Wilds vibes with how it handles the end of the world. Overall just amazing.

Developer

Thank you! The glitchy beat was fun to make
