Description
Description of the non existent game:

You are a stranded spaceman on an alien planet, you must rejoin your ship which crashed at the top of a strange mountain. Indeed, as you climb, you begin to notice what remains of an ancient alien civilization, they all died. But you haven't the time to really think about why, because right now the sky is turning red. Even with the short time you've been on this planet, you know this is means that there is going to be a violent storm, more violent than any you've ever seen. good luck.

Information about the music:

This Soundrack is a mix of piano and analog/synthetisers instruments. My inspirations for this are Lena Raine (celeste) , Andrew James Prahlow (outer wilds) and a bit of the composition used in Zelda Breath Of The Wild.

I've made these songs with the use of Logic Pro X.

There Are 4 tracks for a total of 9 minutes and 53 seconds of music.

Theme:

Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
the instruments I used have very cold tones in order to match the picture. Moreover, I included a track which would play when there are storms (Bloody Storm). In the non existent video game, storm would be heralded by the sky turning red. I tried to fit this isolated and realist kind of landscape by sad and sometimes minimalists songs.

Very atmospheric, well done ! I really like the third track and the opening music with its two distinct phases

This is pretty cool! I can definitely hear some of your influences in your soundtrack and I really like that you went for pretty bold harmonic and rhythmic choices in quite a few places. A few minor things that I personally think could be improved are:

- The wind sounds in Bloody Storm are a bit too prominent for my taste especially in the beginning.

- Likewise, I'm not a huge fan of the snare sound you use for the "crazy drums"

- The instrument that plays the arpeggios in Icy Caves feels a bit too playful compared to the rest of the tracks. The track in general feels just a little out of place to me, but I think most of it come down to that instrument.

Anyway, these are really just minor nitpicks and overall I really, really liked this entry, well done!

Thanks you! That's so cool you took the time to analyse all of this. It's true that Icy caves feels out of place, I rushed this one a little bit because I was running short on time. I wanted it to sound adventurous and a little bit vivant, like if this is a place with more life than the wild and empty mountain. However I kind on messed up and this doesn't really convey this x) But anyway thanks for the pertinent review of the flaws!

This is a quality soundtrack, Bloody Storm is a particular standout for me. The progressions you chose and the arpeggios and aaaa it all comes together SO well. I think the off-time snares are a bit much at the beginning, but the track REALLY comes into its own afterwards. Very clever interpretation of the image theme too btw, seeing the red overlay as a literal oncoming storm rather than a sudden dimensional shift of sorts. I'm also a sucker for these synths... :v great work!

Very nice, could hear the Celeste influence for sure! Each track was an enjoyable listen and felt cohesive as a score.

Amazing stuff! I can definitely see the inspiration from BOTW and Celeste.

Amazing work. i have a love-hate relationship with the piano sound you really made it shine in the arpeggios of the prelude. I also love the contrast between the two drums of bloody storm.

Did you use Keyscape at all for this? I have so many questions. I love this piece. Bravo <3

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! I actually didn't used Keyscape. I used the free VST piano made by LABS and some other free VST (like alchemy) included in Logic Pro X. If you have any other question I'd be glad to answer them!

Thank you for your reply! Could you talk a little about your mixing process? Also I listened to some of your other tunes on your Youtube and I'm just curious about you! Your music runs deep. <3

Well, what I found weird is that my mixing isn't bad even though I haven't mixed at all in these songs x) I just put some reverb, echo and changed the EQ of some instruments but well not so much else. I'm happy this ended up working x)

This is amazing! I love all of the things you listed as inspiration, and I can feel all of them keenly in each of your tracks. They're all just so beautiful, and fit so well into the concept. Overall, absolutely fantastic job!

I can't get over how much I love the fast little piano parts at 0:22 and 1:25 in Prelude. This is so good!

This could be straight taken out from Undertale! Sounds amazing!!!

This sounds really good. I really like the beginning of Bloody Storm, it instantly sets a cool mood and the addition of the wind in the background really makes you feel a storm.
