Description
This is NES chiptune made in Dn-FamiTracker. I imagined the game to be an endless runner where a musician steals a synth & attempts to flee from the store. Grab 'n' Dash is the main theme which would play during gameplay. Hi-Score Party would play in a rave party scene where top players can submit their scores. The drum samples come from the Casio Rapman keyboard, which I've found works surprisingly well once converted to DPCM.

Message from the artist:
I procastinated a lot on this but I hope you enjoy the music!

Theme:

Runaway

How does it fit the theme?
Running away from apprehension is a common setup for games in the endless runner genre. I thought the desire to steal a synth might resonate with some musicians.

Awesome oldschool vibe. reminds me of the little robot track in Mario Paint. very cool!

These have a great sound for an 8 bit game -- I have Out Run in my head with some kind of bank robbing component added to it.

I'm not the greatest fan of chiptune so well done in impressing me nonetheless! I liked the energy of the tracks especially the sliding melody line in the first track and the little echo-ey bits.

I wouldn't steal a car but I would perform a non-car related heist to this music. I enjoyed the retro beats, they went hard. Overall a fun entry and unique approach to the jam

This was a lot of fun to listen to, I’m always impressed by people who use trackers cause I’ve always failed horrendously at making anything in them. Hi-score Party was my favorite track. Great job!

Great work on the base, all the tunes sound good and have personality. Nice and humorous meta twist on the story!

This one is just a blast! Really awesome tunes. Not familiar at all with the process you describe on how you made this track. Really interesting.

Always love some good 8-bit! Cool tracks.

Sick track! I can definitely envision the game the way you've described it, and given the limitations of 8-bit writing, you completely killed it. Both tracks are catchy. I think the only thing that caught my ear is that some of the drums sounded behind, like they were coming in a moment after the beat.

I like this approach to the theme as well, and props to you for coming up with a simple yet hilarious story!
