  • This adhered to the one button with no loss or detrimental outcome when stepping away rule, so good job there! The graphics were nice and retro, though it would have been nice to have more audio incorporated into the game. Also, the gameplay does rely on precise timing for some jumps. The player can repeat a section if they miss it, but they are still gated on their ability to make those jumps eventually to progress, which may stop some players midway through the experience.
  • This gets really close to creating a platform game that someone with very slow reactions could play. The second level however, does require quite quick tapping. Not compared to Sonic the Hedgehog, but certainly when considering the competition rules, which is why I've rated this down. Making it work with left-click would have opened it up to more technology, as a possible future improvement. All that said, I really like how this has been implemented. For users with quick enough tapping ability, this is a really good way of making a platform/puzzle game lower pressure. I like the way stepped areas stop you and give you a chance to think at certain areas. For players with slower speeds, maybe when you get to more demanding areas, stop the game, and give them a scan-and-select option (e.g. cycle between arrows pointing to jump up / jump down - and don't trigger that action until the user decides). Perhaps have that as an option for the easiest method, but for more able players, keep it just as it is. I like this, and it has great potential to show how to make a highly accessible platform game. Thank you for entering it.

Very impressed with this entry! Just when I thought I might have a criticism the game flipped the tables and revealed the special gameplay features!  Your teacher should give you BONUS!

I thought this was fun to play. It's simple and forgiving if you mess up somewhere in the level, which I like. I liked the last level a lot, and think it'd be pretty neat to have more levels like it. The mechanics do feel really polished as is, but some features to assist in timing of the jumps might be helpful.

Really nice ideas! I actually hoped for a few more levels haha :D

Very nice, gentle platformer. A couple of thoughts.

1. Making it playable with left-click and/or the space bar, would help it work with more assistive technology.

2. Occasionally there are some fast jumps needed. I'm not sure if you're able to solve this issue for some players. Perhaps, if they continually fail, helping them in some way? Or have that as an option.
