We really liked the concept, and enjoyed having the ImGui dev settings too! Nice
Kind of reminds me of the mechanic in Stardew Valley where you have to get back before bed time or lose some resources. Although here it's the fail state. It's certainly a jumping off point for a wider resource gathering game, would probably need the resource collection to feed back into the availability and the player's ability to gather more as they level up - along with a goal to drive the plans you mentioned regarding upgrading your home.
I picked stuff up for several days.
I'm taking a nap now.
This was fun! It would have been interesting if there was a mechanic that required a minimum amount of resources each day. But it was a fulfilling game nonetheless
Fun concept! I couldn't get the linux version to work on my system, even tried building it and got a seg fault... played the web version and it was a little buggy (lots of rubber banding), but the concept of the game shines through. simple, easy to understand.. easy to get lost *cough*
Thanks for the review! If you are feeling generous, and would like to try again, I figured out the SegFault issue. The problem is, that you need to run cmake and make inside of a sub-folder, not the root directory.
I've updated the README to reflect this. You will need to delete the cmakecache file that was created!
Thanks again for the review, it is highly appreciated.
I'll give it a go this afternoon and let you know what happens.
I still get a seg fault.. and here's what is coming out of my debugger. I don't have time to go all-in to figure this out, but it seems like i would need to debug the HaGameLite library to figure out what's going on.
Thanks for giving it another go! It looks like it's a different issue than I thought. Thanks for sending the debug info!!
i dont found brick's, where is it?
Look to the south!
For some reason, this reminds me of one of the first “game” i wrote in C++, at least the one i remember as the first. It was just about collection wheat and planting it again, also with a similar art-style.
