Oh nooo, not learning again! Luckily, there's the relax button. Great game!
Yup, education. Unfortunately there's no easy relax button in real life (-.-). Thanks for checking it out!
Unique idea and a very addictive game
Thank you for checking it out!
ofc :D its the whole point of the game jam, hope u enjoy mine ^^
Definitely! Will check it out when I find the time!
yep give me a comment whenever you do :) i want to see your opinion
I really liked this game, fun but also tricky during lecture time !
Even the credits were good ! A fun game, but also important to balance relax, study, and sleep :)
Thank you for your kind words!
Such a unique game and idea.
I like that we have to balance between sleep, grades, and m.health.
We made a similar idea where you have to balance between sanity(sleep) and work, but in a totally different gameplay.
Your game is super polished 🌟
Thank you for your kind words!
Interesting game, I would like to see an evolution of it
Thanks for checking it out! Do you have any ideas for what could be improved?
Now that I've managed to evaluate the other games, I'm coming back to give a more accurate.
1-Since the game is quite long, I missed some option to continue later. Maybe a division into chapters in the menu.
2-It wasn't clear to me the correlation between the tests and the maintenance of the status.
I really enjoyed playing this game! (especially while procrastinating studying haha) the quality is superb, it's extremely polished, and honestly I doubt I could make this in 8-9h, so props to that
I feel like the game is too easy in the first few weeks, and then the memory puzzle gets incredibly hard. Maybe it could be more balanced, considering that the first weeks I could rest or study as much as I wanted to without my bar going down from 100% and then with week 8/9/10 I really struggled.
The game was a really fun though and I found the sound effects to be really well done.
Thanks for your feedback!
I agree the balancing of the game is all out of wack. The game was originally a lot harder, with the final weeks being absolutely brutal (in terms of stat punishment), so the only real balancing I did was nerfing how the stats get lowered, making a game a little easy (which, I'd rather have an easy game jam game than a harder one). The memory game used to also be more balanced, but I cut the game's length from fifteen to ten weeks, and just kinda indiscriminately removed levels from the game data to do so. The following rebalance led to some rather questionable decisions along with some things I didn't catch (the biggest example being that the memory game at nine weeks remaining is much harder than the one at eight weeks remaining). So I 100% agree with you about the balancing.
Thanks again for your feedback, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great little game, and very polished, the animations and transitions are perfect.
The memory puzzles start off easy but get really brutal near the end, which is great. I'm not sure how the stats affect the gameplay directly, if at all. I went spotless until I started getting the two line letters + directions and subsequently messed all of them up haha. I still managed to get an A with 90% on all bars. Maybe the grades bar should deplete with each loss and missing sleep should make the timeout go faster.
Sound design is on point and authentic sounding. Palette chooser is a nice touch.
I quite enjoyed it! Great stuff!
Thanks for your feedback!
While it's harder to see, the grades bar does deplete, but not in a linear way. The game actually stores every score you get in the game and averages them together to get the final score. While this means that screwing up the final two levels won't tank your score, it also means that it's harder to see its impact after a few rounds.
Truth be told, the stats affecting gameplay actually never occurred to me; which is a disappointment because that's a fantastic idea! That's certainly something to include if I ever decided to expand the game.
Thanks again for your feedback!
