Did you use any third-party plugins other than Plus Music?
I only used the free URP Toon Shader.

Did you use Plus Music?
No, unfortunately I haven't tried Music Plus or even heard of it before this game jam.

If you're unable to play the windows build, here's a web build that you can try: (remember to come back here to rate!)

Streets of Reaper -web build by znerbackwards (itch.io)

Ok first things first- this is an unity game, and that means you can do a web build. Web build allows more people (like lazy ones, to whom downloading is too much of a hassle, or ones who don't have windows machines, or the ones who use work pcs for games) to play your game. Seriously, try it...

because your game is great! Seriously I could go with how good everything works together... and I guess I will!

Graphics, animation, presentation- great. Animations sold the attacks, the particle fx and sounds gave good feedback on when the player or baddies get hit. Difficulty went up gradually, and felt fair (I had to repeat second level twice, but because I played bad not because the game glitched or something). You had actual levels, a plot, and a boss. I can't stress enough how I liked this. I know, with the time constraints a bunch of people went for an endless or wave base games, but I'm a guy who loves levels. And bosses! Especially if they call in minions during the fight! So much so, that I also have it in my game! (yeah, call it shameless self-promotion!)

If I had to pick the things I didn't like, not much comes to mind. Movement speed could ba a bit faster maybe? And I don't see a point of rolling, because you roll exactly the same speed as walking.

To end this comment- this is one of the best games in this jam. Seriously- you rarely see jam games, where everything just works together, but you did it! Keep up the awesome work!

Thank you for reviewing my game! I unfortunately didn't get to include a webgl version since I submitted very close to the deadline and now the uploads are locked, which is a bummer. Also, I agree that the dodge roll is a little slow and I failed on my part to communicate to the player that rolling makes you immune to damage, so it's useful for rolling away when the enemy begins to swing at you. I could've made the roll animation faster, and add a little more distance. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the game and I wish I had more time to polish it further. Thanks for playing.

I liked the game. It does a lot of things right, but there are some problems with it. So here's my review (I hope I'm not too harsh)

What I liked:

1. Nice looking visuals.

2. Nice enemy variety.

3. Story was simple but fun and to the point.

4. Level progression was decent.

Cutscenes didn't overstay their welcome.

What I didn't like:

1. The F ability (Scythe) is too Over powered. I could've beaten all 3 levels with that ability alone.

2. Sometimes it's hard to tell how much damage was dealt on an enemy. Sometimes an enemy would die from one hit by a certain attack, and then the same enemy type would die from more than one hit from the same attack.

3. There were some clipping issues in the scenery where certain buildings would get out of the camera frustum, which created a weird cutout effect.

4. The ability keys are a bit all over the place. It's hard to try and reach for J and K keys when the F key is much closer (and is triggers the strongest attack anyway).

Overall, great work and I look forward to seeing more of your work :)

It's really cute! I really like the artstyle and the sound effects are quite nice. I also like how bright everything feels when you get your glasses.

This is quite fun! As an artist, I'm a sucker for charming low poly games like this one. Music is very nice, quite funky! Only issue is the incredible increase in difficulty on the second level, and the fact that after punching, you rotate to the right and offset the direction you were pointing at.
Otherwise, love this! Very responsive controls and fun gameplay

I agree with the punching animation affecting the player's rotation. I actually already got it fixed along with some other bothersome things but couldn't upload a new build due to it being locked. My teammate did all the art assets in 6 days, by the way, so kudos to her for the great models and UI. Thanks for playing!

Great one ! Died during second level , difficulty is very high. I like the polishing with the menu and the introduction cutscene. Would be great to have a bit more fluidity with animations and dynamic fight move. Great work on respecting theme and special object !
