Hello everyone! Thank you all for your comments! We have uploaded our final version of this project. I plan to continue working on the game and hopefully rework it into a full game release at some point, so this project will serve as a demo for that. Once again thank you all!

Lovely art, fitting music, paired with a really unique game concept fitting the theme. A well polished entry, really enjoyed my time.

I wish you could see which spell you're going to get when you're discarding a spell, and I dislike that I sometimes can't clearly see what enemies do or which attacks they used (or seeing how much defense they gained for example). Beyond that it's a really cute little roguelike, enjoyed it a bunch (and won >:D)

Developer(+1)

I am glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the feedback! The team has been working on balancing the game better and also adding some more information during battles that we didn't have time for before. Currently we already added indicators for how much damage an enemy took and how much of a stat they got

Really polished, has a nice bit of replayability, mosquito and evil neuro gave a good laugh! Great all-round submission!

Developer

Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed the mosquito and evil neuro, we had a lot of fun coming up with the enemies and how they would work

I love deck-building/ability-swapping based roguelites, and this one hits just right. Great retro visuals and sound design. It reminds me of Dicey Dungeons or Slay the Spire.

Developer

Thank you so much! I know I drew a good amount of inspiration from Dicey Dungeons and Honkai: Star Rail. I have yet to play Slay the Spire but I know its a great deck-building roguelite

A very fun roguelike. I enjoyed it a lot

I feel like the fact that Evil keeps healing herself makes it necessary to have Lead Pipe in your final setup, and the only other viable attacking move is Zucc, so there are some balancing issues (probably just skill issue)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, and glad you enjoyed! Yeah I definitely feel as though there are issues with balance as well, although a game like this is hard to balance in such a short time-frame. Our thought process was that the fight would usually be beatable on a second attempt if the players didn't have the right build their first time since they'd learn what works through their mistakes, which to be fair is typical of the rogue-like genre, and that the game is short enough that that wouldn't be too punishing.

We will likely be pushing a balance overhaul, as well as adding in a few of the things we cut for time after the rating period ends, so stay tuned for that! Thanks for the feedback!

An excellent use of the theme, really enjoyed deciding which skills to pick

Developer

Thanks so much! Glad you had fun :D

Lead pipe squad? Actually a really cool game and really visually pleasing, good job!

Submitted(+2)

Really fun experience! Gameplay, visuals and audio were all great. Good job!

Submitted(+2)

I must say the Mosquito Zucc is the strongest weapon

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing! We LOVE killing mosquitoes!

I your did it! Not sure how defense was factored into damage calculated. I just lead piped my way through the game.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Defense is a number that is subtracted from damage taken, and resets after every turn. Also yeah lead pipe is very strong, in the future we will likely rebalance haha.

Hit evil with a lead pipe 10/10

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah lead pipe is kinda crazy haha.

That was quite fun, I really liked the design and music! I enjoyed the rat in the hat.

Developer

Glad you liked it!

really fun! liked the mechanics of the game. the forced swapping of a move made it really interesting. the music was fun, the art was really cute. this is probably my favorite submission on here.

Developer

Thank you so much!!! We're glad you liked it :D

The enemy designs are really funny, and the art style is great! :D

(I love the Jerma rat)

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! I had fun working on those sprites, one of our other teammates made the original rat though and we spent probably about an hour at like 3AM laughing about it haha.

I enjoyed the game so much, but i wanted to use evil neuro's skills

Developer

Glad you liked it! Unfortunately since evil neuro was the final boss there isn't currently a way to use her skills, but we figured we should still let you see what they do once you beat her. Hope that makes sense!

I liked how you implemented the "Lost and Found" theme into the game mechanics!

Developer

Thanks so much! We really liked that idea for a core mechanic and are super happy with how it turned out.

Submitted(+1)

That was great, I really like this game! It was easy to understand and very polished. Good job!
