I love the setting and the eerie silence, it's creepy and beautiful.

Gameplay-wise, I think it would be scarier if you spend more time teasing the wolves instead of showing them on screen. It's scarier if you don't know which direction the threat is coming from, but you know it's nearby, rather than having 20+ wolves rotating around you constantly like a merry-go-round. Maybe you can do that with footprints, directional audio, and wolves darting across the screen at the periphery of your vision. Just enough to freak you out.

I think you should have the ability to turn off your torch. It puts you more at risk from the wolves, you can't see very far, but maybe it allows you to move faster (in addition to conserving torches). That way you have a nice risk / reward thing going. Movement in general can be a little bit faster, the character is too sluggish to control.

This has so much potential. Really good stuff!

This game looks so damn good! the lighting effects and the snow look beautiful, and I really liked the unsetling silence of the place... keeps you on edge waiting for wolves to attack you all throghout the game. Really good entry.

Just a small detail that you should add... show the correct shortcut for the torches somewhere when the one you are using runs out... no player should be hitting every key randomly trying to make things work because the game didn't show him the commands.

Developer

Thanks a lot for your nice feedback ! You're absolutely right about the torches button, we realized that a bit late when running behind the schedule ! :D We'll fix this in a next version !

Sorry, but every time I try to open the game, it says that it's not responding, so I can't play it. Do you know any way to fix this?

Developer

Sad to read this, sorry for the inconvenience :( I wonder if it's not an issue with some shaders not supported on lower end GPUs (we used Unity HDRP). Would that make sense regarding your hardware, if I may ask ? I'm not sure we can fix this easily, will try tho.

Yeah, it does make sense seeing as I'm using a laptop (oops). My laptop has a few issues while running 3D games, so I have to use a support cooler. If it helps, I have an "Intel Core i7"...whatever that means...sorry, I'm not a computer expert. Thanks for responding by the way!

Really liked all those graphicals effects, like the torch lighting or the snow!

I was really lost and didn't know what to do when I started the game the first time, but this is something that could easily be fixed with a little more time than just 60 hours ;D

Thanks for your feedback ! We'll work on improving level design and player guidance in a next version, I'm well aware it requires it, the timing was indeed quite short ! :D

Let me know when it's updated, I'd love to see it ;)

Oh sorry for the inconvenience. You're the first one reporting this, I'm not aware of it yet. Do you have any crash report that could help us fixing this ? Thanks !

Pretty good game, i like the look and feel of the game. But starting the game, I have no clue what im suppose to do. And when my torch runs our, I didnt know how to relight it without testing every button on my keyboard. Lastly, I dont know when my torch light runs out, so when wolves run around me, my torchlight diminishes, im just dead

Developer

Thanks for playing, and for your feedback ! We clearly have to improve the general guidance (for the torch button as well, we realized that when submitting and wrote it in the description, I guess we were in such a hurry ahah :D). Very interesting point about the torch lighting out, maybe adding some flickering before it totally lights out, and a slight delay before the wolves run at you, might do the trick. Will think about it. Thanks again !

Thanks ! We'll have to work on optimizing a bit, currently it's a bit unnecessarily heavy ! :D
