Neat idea! I included it in my Movie Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to check it out! :)

Hey I know this is a bit late but feedback is feedback I guess?

I loved the game's concept of the still enemies that made you angle your shots like a 2d shooter like Steamworld Heist, yet in a first person perspective! This gave a whole new twist on the FPS Genre for me! However the game has two main flaws that hold it back . First the limited ammo means you need to have about every shot perfect or it is suicide. Second the shield recharges far too slowly. If the goal was to have the player hide in a safe place because it is basically impossible to face these baddies head on, that means the only chance the player has to regenerate their shield is when they are out of the line of fire. So having them wait slowly while they are outside the line of fire doesn't quite makes sense so maybe make the shield regenerate in about a second? If you fix those two issue then you have a really solid foundation to build something special out of this amazing concept!

Anyway one thing I do want to mention is I'm going to make a Game Jam Spotlight Video on my favorite games from this jam on my Game Design Analysis Channel Etra Games in a few days! So here's a shameless plug to my Youtube channel if you want to be notified of when the video releases! :

I like that kind of minimal glowing visuals. I found the game too difficult for me until I read your comment below and now, with health regenerating, it's just my kind of difficulty! Really nice game! And yes, the game lacks sound, but we all know game jams limitations ;). Oh, found a bug btw: i played in windowed mode (on Windows 7 64 bits), I left the window to browse this very web page, and once I went back to the game, the mouse was frozen. Keyboard was ok, but impossible to aim with the mouse.

Thank a lot  for feedback!

SFX or music would go a long way. I like the gameplay but the requirment for me to learn each nuance of the level takes too long for the quantity of games I want to get reviewed this weekend. I might come back and check it out again when I don't feel so crunched for time. I also felt like the enemies had perfect aim and were unforgiving. Maybe if my health regenerated over time I would be more willing to invest in exploring further into the level (resting in between each encounter/area).

Thanks, enemy having perfect aim is to balance game a bit. Because enemies don't move, it makes everything easier. Best and fastest way to finish game is by "patience", shoot, wait, heal and shoot(without wasting bullets). And "Maybe if my health regenerated over time ", yes it regenerates, after curtain time tho.
