I've made a few games on my own but this is my first jam. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

dont overscope. if you think your idea is small enough - make it twice smaller

i've participated in a dozen of jams and so far I never got the scope right

I've only done two and couldn't finish either because of over-scoping.

If an idea isn't doing so well don't be afraid to start over.

DON'T OVERSCOPE. If things are going well and you want to add more things then wait until you're done. Don't add any big things in the middle of the jam. Don't overscope. If you feel like you've underscoped don't add anything else. If you finished the game is 24 hours or less. Great now you can add more levels polish the game and stuff for the remaining hours. Don't overscope. A finished game looked better than an attempted idea

Think first before u start working, plan your time.

Don't overscope, it could really mess up your game jamming experience! And unless you want it to be very hard, don't make it too hard, it is very easy to make a game harder without thinking about it. (Tip: Have other people playtest your game, that will determine how hard it is.)
