I really love this mechanic idea and the level design incorporates really good puzzles for figuring out where to place your platforms! However the character is really slippery, as others mentioned. I think it comes down to the fact that it seems like the character collider is round on the bottom and so you slip off the edges of platforms when you should be standing on them. I think the horizontal movement and jumping feels really good however. Great work!
I really like the minimalist black and white art style. It fits really well with the bleak limbo area that you find yourself in. I also really like the gameplay mechanic of creating your own platforms! It's super satisfying to figure out where to place the spears to make the jumps possible. Although I suck at WASD controls so I find it a bit difficult to manoeuvre the character. I remember when there was a button that wasn't disabled allowing you to fly to the top of the level and beat the game. It looks like that has been fixed now. Also, I just wanted to add from an audio perspective that the organ exploding sound is much louder than every other sound in the game and almost gave me heart attack when I first heard it. So that could be potentially be quieter but, other than that, it was a really fun game.
Extremely tough platformer with a fun place-able platform mechanic!
I wish I could make it to the end and give a better review, but I sadly do not have the skill required. I did get past the tricky tiny 4 horizontal blocks, then failed the big vertical single wall climb. Lots of Bennet Foddy energy in this one. ;)
Agree with utkuyum that the character controller is kinda annoying. The spear mechanic was cool though! Would like to hear more about the time controlling organ! Where'd it come from? Where did it go?
PS: I think the "S" key needs to be disabled :)
Thanks for playing! But can you tell me what you didn't like about character control? And thanks for reminding me about S key completely forgot about it.
It feels pretty "slippery" ... maybe adding more friction would help. It also seems like some coyote time would be good. Particularly with platformers I want the player to feel "snappy" if that makes sense.
I liked the spear idea a lot but the character's movement is so irritating :(,cool game overall
