This was so much fun to play! Despite being pretty terrible at beat-em-ups I managed to beat it. I love the narrative of the mantis beating up all the aquarium creatures and the human just adding more to see what will happen! All the aspects of this game really came together for a cohesive experience. My only critiques are that the music was a tad harsh on my ears and that the basic enemies didn't put up much of a fight, I could pretty easily get right in the middle of them and just punch/uppercut to win. But the boss designs are really cool.

Great job, one of my favorites so far!

I like the atmosphere you made with the music and sounds! It was definitely a little scary having to hide while the wolf passed by me. Once I figured out how to use the terminal I had a much better time.

On the web version, using ESC to exit the map will actually exit fullscreen first before it will exit the map, which meant that I couldn't play in fullscreen. That felt too bad since the only way I could see the art clearly was when it was in fullscreen, since the CRT effect was pretty strong.

Nice work!

Very cute platformer! The movement and jetpack overall felt really nice, although the abrupt stop in the air whenever I did a small jump felt a little strange. Took me a bit to figure out there were some types of enemies you couldn't bounce off of too. The challenge felt good, it usually took me a few tries in between each checkpoint but when I died it usually felt like a skill issue on my part and not a dumb thing the game did.

I liked this one a lot, just needs some music to round it out :)

I love the idea of the dust bunnies fighting back against the vacuum! There are a lot of fun concepts here like using the fans to get blown around and fighting spiders & flies. I also liked the animations for the bunny and the movement felt pretty fluid. I think the camera could use a little work, it was difficult to see where I needed to jump or move to next sometimes and it whipped around pretty fast whenever I changed direction. Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish the game because some sections were too hard, I gave up after many tries of the section where you have to bounce on the invincible flies through spikes. I would have liked to see what other abilities you could get from the items.

Good work, this was a pretty ambitious project!

Also, from one bunny owner to another, I think your bunny is cute :)

I am a huge fan of Galaga so I was excited to try this one, and I thought it was great! The whole vibe matched what I think of as 'retro' really well and I played it a bunch of times :) The enemies started out a bit spongy and with the difficulty scaling, later on I was having a really hard time tracking single enemies long enough to kill them with all the bullets on screen, especially when I didn't have any powerups. I think having some more enemy variety with some weaker enemies and a few spongier enemies could make this game feel a lot better. I was also a little frustrated with how the shots from my ship kept changing sides, and since I was mostly looking downfield at the enemies it felt inconsistent to line up my shots.

Good work, I liked all the additions to the standard Galaga gameplay to make it feel fresh! My highscore is 6910 :)

Nice game, I had fun with it! I found it on the easy side but I know players can vary a lot in skill for these bullet hell games. I wished it was a bit longer but I liked the twist boss fight at the end! It might also be nice to take a few hits before having to repair the ship, as suddenly being pulled out of dodging bullets to do minigames can be a little jarring. I think an autofire option would be nice too.

Good work!

I'm normally not a fan of space invaders (nor am I very good at it) but I had a lot of fun with this! I managed to make it to the end, I was impressed that it kept going for so long! The powerups could use some balancing (I thought the bomb was lame at first but after a few upgrades it was the only reason I was staying alive lol) but the main game loop is great. It felt a little like cheating to mostly be making a hole in one side of the enemy formations to let them pass by me cause I couldn't kill them all, so maybe a small penalty for letting enemies pass by could be interesting? I could also see a meta-progression aspect where you can upgrade your overall health and stuff between rounds once you die.

Nice work!

I like the twist! For being made in 2 days this is great. I think the fruit color spawn rates could be adjusted, at first I was having plenty of greens but no yellows, and then I was having plenty of yellows with no greens to clear the board with. Would probably be a little more fun with a smaller gameboard too, it was pretty easy to keep clear of my trail. Overall seems like a good concept, nice work!

Thanks for the kind words! It seems like a few people have had that rendering issue, mostly on Mac/iOS devices. Do you mind sharing what platform you're playing on (Win/Mac/Linux/iOS/Android) and if in a browser, which browser you're using?

Thanks, glad you liked it! It seems like you might have experienced a bug, the tutorial is supposed to move you to level 1 right after you learn about stacking orders. I made the timer in the tutorial level never run out in case someone tried to wait it out, in order to prevent bugs with the UI. I guess you could call your experience the secret endless mode...

Absolutely fantastic puzzle design here, I'm not sure if I'll ever understand how people make these puzzles after coming up with the mechanics. I had a great time figuring them out but I can only take so much of these kinds of puzzles before my brain overheats...

Visuals aren't anything super special but it's the right choice for this game for sure. I personally find the CRT shaders people get online to usually be way too strong but it's not too bad here. My main issues were that I wish I could move the guy a lot faster and that the music got a little repetitive, but it was no issue with those puzzles to entertain me :)

Great work!

It's been a while since I played Liar's Dice so it took me a bit to remember lol. Also took me a bit to realize 'lice' means 1's, I thought they were separate items for a bit. Unfortunately some bug happened where (I think) a ruined city called BS and then it just devolved into cities taking multiple turns in a row and getting destroyed, and then it crashed XD

I really love the storytelling aspect of this, I just wish the rules were laid out more clearly. I also think it would be nice to see the other cities' dice when someone calls it so that the player can see for themselves, it just felt kinda weird not to be able to verify that a BS call was correct or not.

The visuals were great and music was great also, it gave me a bit of Banjo-Kazooie vibes haha. The rules for making a "decree" also were covered up by another textbox which was unfortunate.

I can definitely feel that a lot of work went into this entry, good job!

Took me a minute to figure out the controls, sometimes the guy would get flipped around and then the controls seemed reversed but I figured it out. Overall it was basic but fun! I would've liked more time to do tricks and stuff, it seemed pretty short.  It think it would be nice if the music played over the surfing gameplay too and not just the menu, cause the static sound and the static effect were a bit too much I think.

My highscore is 291 :)

Such a funny game, I love that you can let off some steam on these absolute morons breaking stuff XD

Music was great, and the voice lines were just fantastic and there were enough of them that only a few got a little repetitive.

The gameplay was just hard enough to get a handle on that it was fun without being too frustrating. My biggest issue was the DS (or was it a Game & Watch?) device kept getting stuff stuck on it and was hard to tell if it was cracked.

The artwork was great too, overall just a great job!

Thank you! Seems like common feedback that the ice creams could be better differentiated haha. I think adding more satisfying visuals for high combos is a great idea!

Thanks! The ice cream seems like a common issue yeah. An auto cook feature could be cool, maybe as an upgrade with the money you buy!

Glad you liked it! That's some good feedback, that had kinda been my intention with the gameplay not requiring an interaction button but I didn't quite get to extending that to the menus too. Would make replays feel really snappy I think.

Hi, glad you liked it! I agree, with multiple of the same types of ice cream it can be hard to tell how many there are, seems like a common point of feedback from the comments. A shop between rounds is a really interesting idea for later!

Interesting, we had a similar issue happen on iOS mobile browsers but not on desktop browsers, and I didn't test non-web builds too much. Do you mind sharing what platform you're using? (Windows/Linux/Web/Mobile and type of browser?)

Thanks for the feedback! Are you referring to some pixel art scaling issues or maybe some UI issues?

Thanks! We tried out using shapes as alternate sprites for the icecream for accessibility but we couldn't quite get it looking good in time.

Thanks for the feedback! Keyboard navigation definitely got left out due to the time crunch at the end but you're definitely right :)

Thank you! Glad you liked it :)

Cute platformer, I enjoyed playing it! As others said, I couldn't make it to the end in time. It felt like the movement needed some more polish but it is a fun idea!

Fun platformer with snappy jumping! I really liked that the music parts got added to the soundtrack as you got them in the game, great work!

Nice game! I like the vision fading out effect when you get close to the time limit.

I had a fantastic time playing this, despite the time it nearly blew my eardrums out XD I always love games like this that are so wacky and chaotic but make it work with great gameplay, great job!

Really nice ambience with the sound and graphics on this one, I loved it! Would maybe be a bit more fun if there were only a few batteries so it was harder to beat but overall a great submission!

Lots of fun! I like your idea of a more drawn out battle where you have to work on keeping your soldiers alive, it was pretty difficult. Also your opening cutscene is amazing, well done!

Fun platformer! I wish there was a little more direction on what you are supposed to do, but the music is amazing, probably my favorite from the jam so far!

Nice game, I really enjoyed the music and the ragdoll effect :)

More of an app than a game but your implementation is good! I also appreciated the nice UI, good work.

I beat it after a few tries! I kept thinking the tree trunks were parts hehe. Good submission!

Wow! This story was really impactful for me, I can relate to a lot of the things you wrote about. Wasn't expecting something like this in a game jam haha. You are some fantastic writers and I will definitely be looking out for the ending screen update after the ratings are finished :) (I'm also happy to see others using Dialogic with Godot ;))

I really like your idea of your rhythm game, and the music! Could use some polish like a tutorial but I had a fun time.

Well done! It's really satisfying to kite them around then throw a grenade in the middle of a big group :) Could use an auto-fire gun cause my finger got really tired haha

A really solid platformer, although it took me a while to figure out I had to change songs with the arrow keys. Lovely art and story, nicely done!

A little simplistic but the art and music are fantastic! Nicely done!

Unfortunately this doesn't run for me, I just get a white screen. I did listen through the music track though and dang that's an absolute banger!

Fun game, glad to see a fellow Godot dev :) The movement is a bit fast but I got used to it. Also the controls are a little strange, it feels like I need 3 hands to play this properly - eventually I used WASD and H with my thumb and aim with the mouse, and that worked pretty well. Really nice submission, I hope you keep making more games!
