This was fun, I really like the colour palate and the design of the monsters. It was a bit annoying sometimes when I would get an encounter every couple steps but that's just how rng be sometimes I guess. Overall a great game with pretty solid balancing.

Always happy to see a rpg, and I'm in love with the design of the monsters ! I think the beginning is too difficult, but I know it's not easy to do a good balancing with the short time of a jam. Good work :)

The game was really interesting.. The art style was amazing! The only thing I found frustrating was the encountering.. I would encounter something every few seconds and just did not have a lot of breathing space

I feel like the rat king encounter was quite difficult, but overall I really enjoyed the game and the art looked quite good!

I got Omegastomped. Love the art style and the music.

I really like the style of the sprites/colors. It plays quite well and has an interesting start.

i only managed to get what felt like just a few steps away from the tents after the auto-fail encounter ended

is there no cooldown between encounters? i feel like i probably just got some bad rng there

Yeah there's a minimum distance you need to travel before it rolls for an encounter. I think I just tuned it poorly such that sometimes youll get encounters every roll, and sometimes youll just walk right through the section. Thanks for pointing this out, I didn't prioritize this at all but maybe I should have :)
