I would have loved some sound, but I understand how that is usually last during game jams. I liked the pirate models and animations but felt like I was sort of flailing to attack and the gun should do a lot more damage.
I really liked the idea behind it! It was a little difficult to play, with trying to judge ranges at how far an enemy pirate can be to hit at the right moment. Maybe in future games like this, you could figure out some sort of "range" indicator to tell you if an enemy is close enough to hit/hit you. Aside from that, I liked the art and animations you put into this + the gameplay concept! I liked the targeting mechanic, which added some strategy to the combat!
Nice pirates, too bad you didn't eat cookies ;-;
