I liked the art, music and the comedic story line. Like what Donveloper Studios has said, however, I feel like the game was heavily reliant on luck. The gameplay was interesting, though, as most of the games I've played in this jam have been controlling a character, so it's nice to just sit back and press buttons on a screen.

Overall, a good game. Almost as good as crotch goblins. Literal goblins.

If you have time, I would appreciate it if you could check out my game too :D

Thanks for the feedback! I especially love it when my comedic writing is appreciated but I'd say this is one of my weaker games in terms of writing. I had to rush it at the end and even left some typos in. And concerning the gameplay, many people like yourself are telling me that the game relies too much on luck. I think it may be worth updating it to address these issues.

Looks like I missed the voting period but I'll still give your game a try.

I really liked the art. Good presentation

The art in this game was really nice, the gameplay, I found a bit confusing since the fake things and real ones looked exactly the same, so felt heavy on the luck side, might be cool to have like a few indicators that are maybe randomly applied in a random location on the creatures that indicate if they are real or fake, then put a timer to apply pressure, maybe if you don't guess in time you'll lose health. I think this might make gameplay a bit more varied, faster paced and not so heavily reliant on luck, but maybe im just rambling haha. Again the art was BEAUTIFUL! Amazing what were able to art in this amount of time haha

Developer

Thank you! The art took up over half the development time so I'm glad you liked it but that left me very little time for anything else. I considered adding a timer but didn't get to doing it.  I like your suggestion of taking a hit to health if it runs out since it'd help balance it with energy. I never once thought of making an indicator to help you discern which are fake though. Honestly, my intention was to make the game 100% luck based. But I do like your idea and that was brought up by somebody else as well.

Nice work! The art, animations, and little touches like the ending summary make it really well designed.

Great work and concept, was stuck sometime because I couldn't decide myself and didn't wanted to use the search icon xD Nicely done !

Developer

Thanks! I almost added a timer that'd push you to decide faster

I'm happy you think so!

I liked this game a lot, the art is awesome and I love when you exit the game you get a story snipet, the only thing I would say is make it slightly more obvious which is a deception at least at the start and then make it more gradual.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! That story was honestly rushed like a few other things. Also, your suggestion about giving a sort of hint is a good idea.
