Thank you! Glad you enjoyed. I think I'm going to recreate the game in 3D at some point. That was the original plan, but I knew I wouldn't have enough time to make the 3D assets for the jam.

That would be awesome! :) Feel free to leave a link to the blog post for me as well.

Yeah, I just realised I made the hitbox square instead of the same shape as a tile. So the corners of the square hitbox sometimes clip on the diamond shaped tiles. Big oversight on my part haha. Glad you enjoyed it!!

Nice work! The art, animations, and little touches like the ending summary make it really well designed.

Great game! Loved the visuals and the adorable little rat sprite <3 It's very well put together for just 2 days work. The only criticism I have is that the platforms in level 3 move a bit too fast!

Simple but effective! Really nice game, well done!

Cool game, and well done for making all the artwork yourself! I found a weird bug with the ALT key where it would 'unfreeze' the game but not unmask me. I had to press ALT again to unmask. It kept on happening so it got a little bit annoying xD

Nice art but the wall of text at the beginning of the game is very overwhelming. I did manage to figure everything out though! The game was fun, with a few bugs here and there (upside down sprites)

The graphics are nice and gameplay is smooth, but I wasn't really sure what I was supposed to do.

Overall, a really good game. I would say that the music and sound effects are really loud though. The first time I found a boar it scared the life out of me!!

One of the best uses of the limitation I have seen! The art and music are both great, I could see myself playing this a lot with a bit more polish.

Here's some feedback:

It's not clear when you're in the tutorial area in my opinion. I kept thinking "am I playing yet or is this still the tutorial?" because whenever I entered a new room I thought that was the start of the game. Maybe make a bigger room for it and keep it all in one place?

As others have said, there's a few weird bugs. The bunnies sometimes  get stuck in loops and I have to completely restart to fix it.

Overall, a really good attempt! Well done.

Great game! As others have said well done for getting it to this level of polish in the time limit :)

Thank you! I agree, I should have made it click to start instead of using the keyboard. The characters hit box is a little big I think, I need to shrink it so you don't die by just clipping the edge of an empty floor tile xD

Nice! Loved the escape pod mechanic, very clever use of the limitation.

Good game! Very enjoyable but a bit disturbing with the happy music haha. Well done :)

Hi! Love the concept, just shows you don't need fancy graphics for an enjoyable game :) That being said, I do think it's too easy to avoid the enemies. Also, on 3/4 levels the floor exit was right next to where I spawned. You should implement a distance check when generating the floor exit and make it 'X' distance from the player, either that or give them a reason to want to explore. Maybe add some extra points of interest in the levels, or some loot to grab?

It's a great attempt, especially since you didn't quite manage to finish it!

Hi everyone! This is my second game jam. I really struggled with the limitation on this one, so I'm eager to hear some feedback! I tried to stick to the theme of 'deception' by creating a limited FOV so you can't see enemy attacks as you move around. I hope that fits haha. Anyway, enjoy playing :)

Thank you for the great feedback :) I guess when you spend so much time playing it you forget it's actually quite difficult to start off lol. I love the idea of adding the points to the shop and resetting, and increasing the difficulty. I was planning to make it so different patterns appeared in the grid to increase mouse travel and spice things up (I also wanted to make different sized blocks). I also agree on the fade out effect, I should probably make the block flash and shade it to indicate it's no longer in use.

Thanks again!!

Just updated the game with a couple of improvements and a new wallpaper shop where you can spend points to get new backgrounds :)

Thank you! I'll keep updating it until the jam is over :)
