That was somethin' else! Really funny animations and concept. I especially liked the ascension pose

This is peak as what a jam game can be.

would this work as a full fledge game? idk probably not.

is it super refined and polished? in some ways, but thats not the focus.

Was it super fun, funny, and had all kind of amazing work in all the right places, like the heaven cutscene, the legs, and the options to crash your computer?

Yes, 100x yes.

Very very well done. Would would Egg + Leg = Legg again.

I enjoyed it, the visuals were great but I found that it took forever to beat the game to the point where I stopped, since the souls wouldn't always drop it was hard to collect a high multiplier  as there was nothing to pick up. Great Music, character was jokes but no penalty or damage received on main player, I felt like it was too easy at that point. Wish I could take damage or something, otherwise the use of limitation was great, loved it aesthetically! Great Game guys! Super clean.

Thanks!

We did the balancing in the last few hours as we also had issues with not being able to find enough souls. We got to a point where it's possible, but you also have to look in the right places. Definitely something that could be improved.

The factors going into this:

- How many souls can there be at a time (we put a cap on it for performance reasons)

- How long to despawn and free up the pool

- How far is the range for souls that have spawned to despawn a lot quicker

- How far away are meteors allows to spawn around the player

and a few more.

We originally had damage in the form of losing a soul when hit with a meteor and it breaking your combo (similarly to the red souls) but took it out because meteors at that time were not fun and you'd get hit all the time without being able to know the hit radius properly.

this was kind of fun. I like the main character and the city looks great. egg dropping animation also pretty exquisite :D

did you and your team manage to do the whole game from scratch? like the building and menu and everything, or did you already have the map kind of built?

It was very impressive

Thank you! We did not make the assets for the city, chicken or people. Almost everything else we did ourselves. Using premade assets for sure boosted what we were able to do in terms of making a "complete" game in 2.5 days.

The UI Animations, materials, most of the effects, the destructabilty, even the people are static meshes using VAT to animate, music and sounds we did.

I can definitelly relate. One has to prioritize and use whats available in order to complete the game.

Looks super neat and was fun.

The game is not bad, but the immortal hero who cannot attack, the monotony of the gameplay is a little confusing, why is dash in the game? there are questions, but I liked the lack of bugs and good 3d, I rate it 4, but you need to improve the gameplay, also a good destructibility of the world, which, as I understand it, worsens performance (minimum setting our all)!

Developer

Thank you! The team focused on getting their hands on tech, so we sacrificed a bit of the gameplay in favor of adding technical polish to the game. Dashing is a good way to get some place quickly to keep your soul combo going, but that's about it. :)
