Graphics, level design and gameplay are all great.

The mechanics are simple to understand, but do take practice. There's a few very tricky jumps, like the one where you have to double jump, throw a spider down to kill a spider beneath you, then quickly grab one falling from a pipe (thankfully you included a checkpoint afterwards!)

Great job!

This is so immersive. The graphics, sound and the environment fits so well.

Throw and double jump take a bit of time to get used to. It also took me a while to figure out that I needed to throw stuff to progress. The HP makes it very unforgiving as well. Would have wanted some more interaction with the keys throughout the exploration to make me feel like getting those keys had some use, but overall a great game!

just a lot of fun!, the level design of the game is very good, it focuses a lot on the platforming, which despite being able to bring backtracing problems in this one, I didn't feel so much!, the graphics (despite some visual bugs) and the game's music are also amazing (especially the music in the last area is simply amazing), there is also the yoshi island inspired attack mechanic that just combined sooo much!

Whoa. This is an underrated gem! Very impressive for just one month's work.

Firstly, it looks and sounds great. The main character is animated adorably. Each area is visually distinct, with a lot of personality, and has its own theme music with smooth transitions.

Secondly, exploring is full of choices and considerations. The map is chock-full of interesting decisions and bite-sized puzzles, and all the areas interconnect in multiple ways. And each time the player acquires a new traversal ability (crawl, wall jump, etc.), it really feels earned.

Thirdly, the flexible way in which enemies are used (to strike other enemies; to trip switches; to double jump...) is very clever, and leads to an additional layer of tactical decision making. (Most notably: "Where can I find a nearby enemy, and can I return to this spot without using it up?")

The game checks all the other standard boxes, too: The controls are responsive and smooth. The map is bare-bones but functional. The frequent interactions with other ghosts are usually helpful, sometimes amusing, never annoying.

I always like to offer some constructive criticism, but in this case it's hard to think of anything that needs improvement. I would say that there are some areas where not enough enemies spawn. This leads to a perverse incentive for the player to fall on spikes and die so that the enemies will respawn.

I ADORE the style of this game. Absolutely cozy with the music and the art and the humor. Something like this feels plucked straight out of someone's childhood. I love seeing the messages from the adventurers as you escape, and despite not enjoying the grabby hand that much, it felt very unique. The levels are fun to go through, and it had this overall sense of completeness and focus that puts it above other submissions.

Nice game! Like this 3D graphic. Had a little problem with finding out how to press that button at the beginning :D Love the idea that grabbing monsters let you throw them or double jump!
