like the colours and getting to stand on peoples heads and the general weirdness of it. kinda just want more stages

walking around delivering clams felt a bit slow especially when the seagulls were out of the way

thought the punch animation was cool to

Thanks Lerg Bwo,

I'll be working on this game after the jam and will add more stages for sure. What's your opinion on the clams part? Should I reduce the deliveries to one clam so you don't have to go back or should the enemies return so it's not empty on the way back? Thanks for the feedback! I had another update with a whip but the uploads are locked!

it was only a minor nitpick and i didnt notice that you could sprint (maybe should be explained). but i think having enemies return at random would give you something to do on the way while not being too repetitive

now that i replayed it, i do think picking stuff up could be simpler as it doesnt work if i keep holding down which confused me (like maybe just pressing down could do it)

just nitpicks though, this was fun

The game was very short, but very funny. Good job!

Developer

Thanks KS! Glad you liked it even though I only got to complete a couple stages. haha

It's a bit short, but what is here is quite good, especially from the graphics and audio aesthetics viewpoint! I think that you nailed the look and sound, and a bit of the feel of what you were going for here! I would like to see and play more of this; it's delightfully strange and refreshing! Solid entry!

Feedback: It would be really nice to have a run as well as the walk, especially useful for fetching clams!

My friends and I found a couple of bugs if you would like to hear about them, I can leave another comment or send them direct to you.

Developer

Thank you raptor! Yes please I would appreciate any feedback. I've been tweaking the game based on people's suggestions and it has improved a lot. I envisioned many stages to this game but got stuck with repeated tweaks to the beach and then ran out of time. There is the ability to run if you hold down the attack button but a few people mentioned the speed so I'm considering whether or not to just increase the walk speed.

No problem :)

1) After you give the person the flower, if you jump on their head very quickly afterwards then they still say look at the portal, but the portal never opens.

2) At the beach, if you take the beach ball all the way over to the grandma and put it in the pot, then when you go back to get clams, you can't pick the clams up.

Developer

Oh crap I need to fix that pronto. I'll take a look and see what I can do

The game's pretty short, but what you have looks really promising. The art is very nice and all the game mechanics feel solid. A good start!

Really nicely stylized! Visually the vibe is perfect. A great foundation.
