How does your game relate to the theme?
In Spark of Life: Cold Bones, the "Spark" is the core of both the story and the gameplay progression. You start as just a lifeless bird skull among a heap of bones. A magical spark enters your head, bringing you back to life and giving you hope. As you progress through the cave, the spark provides you with the energy needed to regain your legs and wings, allowing you to escape. The spark is literally your lifesaver!

A lesson about keeping a healthy sleep schedule in a gamejam game is both very needed and very ironic haha

The bouncing movement is cool, and I appreciate some of the QoL features like checkpoints and a mute button in the settings, but my biggest compliment is that you have two different types of gameplay in here, and even an ending! Most jam games don't have that, so it's neat.

I believe you made the skull, enemy, bird, and eye-wall-thing sprites? If so, you did a great job with those, they look good!

I also like that you played around with the hiding idea a little, doing things like perfectly placing the stalactite above the spot where players would hide from the enemies (that got me D:), and having the enemies in front of the sleeping cat (also got me D:).

Could use more sound effects and better pacing, though. Overall, I think you squeezed out as much gameplay out of the idea as you could have, and I hope you make more games!

Thanks for all the compliments! Took me some time to make those sprites and animations, haha, but I am proud of them!
I am really happy that you enjoyed my game!

I really like the hiding concept it was pretty cool, especially with the red eyes. I didn't really have a blast playing it, though

First of all, I absolutely loved the music! I kept listening to it for a while, haha. While playing, it made everything feel so intense, I was completely focused. I even made it all the way to the end on my first run, yay!! πŸŽ‰

I just loved it. The sound design is seriously impressive and one of the best I've experienced in this game jam.

The graphics look great, the level design is fun, and the whole game feels really polished. Amazing work!

Thanks for the reminder to fix my horrendous sleep schedule XD. Love how you move is just hopping around in a skull for the first part. the second part I think needs a bit more challenging. but overall for a 3 day jam I'm surprised on what could be achieved.
