How does your game fit the theme "Unconventional Means"?
Your spaceship needs fuel to keep going, but it's not the type you think...

Loved the art of this, and the audio was pretty good too. Though the gameplay was quite similar to No Man's Sky in that you gathered resources, flew to a new planet, and repeated the process. Quite fun for a few minutes but lacking any true objective, which is also fine for a jam game as I wasn't too bothered by it. Good work!

It's a fun game, the sounds are pretty funny. I like to explore, but it could have some goal.

There are some things that could be improved:

- It's very laggy sometimes.

- The ship could have a brake because it's very difficult to stop, and sometimes I lost the ship.

- The planets can be very close to each other sometimes.

This could be pretty fun.  A lot of the work you managed to get done during the jam is really impressive, but as-is the gameplay is a little dull.  I think this could be developed into something really engaging.   (btw, some of the color combinations are truly painful on the eyes.  I know its random, but... maybe allow some more desaturated colors to come up in the random selection.) If you choose to keep working on it after the Jam, best of luck!

This was so fun. I love the flying physics and seeing all the unique creatures on the different planets. This is very impressive for the time limit.  And I found all of the bugs to be very humorous. If I had one problem, it would be that the gravity on planets isn't high enough. There were so many times I would be flying super fast, come into the gravitational pull of a planet and be like "hey, I want to explore that planet." But instead of landing on the planet, I would fly 50 lightyears away from it. But that's just a minor complaint. Overall, Fantastic job!

Wow that's a really great game !!

You got my rating :)

Very very interesting concept! There were a lot of bugs and that sort of issues but outside of that great submission!

This is a wonderful technical showcase! Its clear a lot of thought was put into programming how planet traversal would work, and on its own it makes the game fun to play. Obviously there could have been more thought put into progression or maybe an end goal, but its clear that time constraints got in the way.

Genuinely really impressive. I’m not sure if this is something you’d be willing to do, but I would love to see the source code for this project.

Really appreciate this feedback! My recent game jams have been trying to make a simple game with some juice, but I wanted to make something larger in scope, knowing I'd sacrifice some gameplay features and game feel. The idea was to make there be a goal of fueling the ship 10 different species (plants and living things included) then the player's home planet location will be revealed. That maybe would've added some guidance and progression.

The code is jam code, so if you're okay reading some gibberish and nonsensical code then I will gladly send you the GitHub link.

Yeah I would love a link to the GitHub repository. I don’t mind sifting through messy code haha (my code can get messy during jams as well tbh)!

I think you 100 percent achieved your goal. It definitely feels larger in scope than most of the other jam games.

Exploring the world is so fun with a the sprites a fog! Although gravity can feel a bit buggy in places when planets are nearby each other. (Also the sound effects are top tier)

Thanks! If there was a little bit more time, I would've fixed the planets being too close but it was the least game breaking bug so I left it for future me.

Thanks again for playing!
