The player movement felt pretty off, but that (along with any other game mechanics present) didn't matter because I beat the game on my first try by just confusedly holding the left mouse button for 30 seconds lol

Could do with some health pickups or something, but otherwise I enjoyed it.

I understand it may be unconventional, but the fact that shooting makes your health decrease combined with the fact that your health just decreases over time is not the best way to introduce difficulty. If more time was put into the AI of the slime boss I think this could have been a better overall experience. The 2D lighting is used well, and the shooting mechanics are satisfying, but the means from which you take damage diminish the overall experience.

Still though, for less than 72 hours this is well done, so congrats there.

The risk reward of the right click barrage felt awesome when you land a full volley.  I found the movement to be a little sluggish but nothing game breaking. One detail that might be a bit anal but could help you in the future is I noticed the sprites have different pixel densities and that caused the characters to feel disconnected from the environment. The core mechanic forced me to play smart and that made the fight feel pretty fun.

Cool idea for the theme! I also really like the audio and visuals for it. It'd be cool to see more if y'all continue to work on it post-jam :)
