Enemies are persistent until defeated. Power-ups persist both on field and on effect for the duration of the game. The intent is to have power-ups change the strategy of the player in terms of movement and goal selection. The power-ups are not necessarily a net positive boon, so strategy must be employed when deciding whether to accept or avoid specific power-ups
