Ooh, I love this visual style! Really beautiful! I wish the controls were just a little tighter, and a bit of coyote time would go a long way, but this is just gorgeous. Honestly, this is what I was aiming for with my own game, and you nailed it far better than I did.

Great work on Knightfall Echo! The atmosphere is spot-on, and the controls feel responsive, making the platforming enjoyable. The progression with the wall jump and dash mechanics was well-implemented.  I did notice that the screen shake can be a bit intense at times, and occasionally, the character would lose grip when transitioning scenes during a wall climb. But overall, the game has a lot of potential, and it's awesome to see it built in Godot!

Great looks, and the music fits nice.

The physics needs a little fine-tuning in places. It seems like gravity goes up too fast when you’re wall jumping, or something. The room where you jump up on a bunch of waterspouts, it seemed like I was falling too fast sometimes.

Cool! so atmospheric. this game feels really good to play, I like the graphics they work well, audio is great and the platforming feels responsive. Maybe id add some visual indicator when you can interact with the something? but i seemed to figure what whats what without that...great work :D

Really cool and simple metroidvania, sold movement with nice moody art and great audio/visual feedback. Screen shakes were a bit intense but I think it was alright when played not on fullscreen. I dd have a minor issue whenever I was trying to wallclimb and the scene change/camera shift would happen, the character would go static pose and stop clinging to the wall which resulted in a few tumbles down.

Also nice to see people using something other than Unity.

Such a really cool and polished metroidvania! The mechanics were all very well implemented, and I loved the progression through additional abilities wall jump / dash. The particle effects were really neat (especially the fire / water), and the platforming difficulty stroke the right balance for me who really sucks at those types of games. Some of the biggest highlights are: instant respawn makes it OK to die / try things (similar to super meat boy), really cool atmosphere / mood despite simple graphics, and really great controls (similar to celeste). Also, great little touch at the end of the credits.

A bit of nit-picking for additional polish:

  • the camera shake was sometimes a bit too intense and disorienting. I know some folks are more affected by this than others - but maybe an option to turn it down or off would be great
  • oftentimes my character would be running, catching up to the edge of the screen, making it difficult to see what's ahead when running full speed. It did provide a great impression of speed so there's probably a balance to be struck there.

Otherwise, fantastic job to the whole team! I was thrilled to see this was done in Godot, their web exports haven't been the most reliable yet I was able to go through the whole game without any quirks.

This game has a nice look & the music is good as well. Unfortunately, I encountered a bug that soft locked me from progression. The game freezes after I get the first key for some reason.
