Did you work in a team?
Solo attempt, fun as it was my first project submitted to a JAM. Started it last min and it shows.

Was the resolution a challenge?
Text, it was a challenge to limit the amount viewed on screen.
By using short words and limited pixel art for the HUD. I was able to display items in a way that worked well with the design of the game.

What did you learn?
I entered the Jam to try and complete a project to get the ball rolling. Just started using Godot, learned a lot trying to to solve this tasks at hand, a lot left to learn.
It has given me some areas to improve on, and practice, As the problems I was able to solve will be helpful with future projects.

the graphics are cute, espesially the horse. one time i sold her, but immediately regretted it and bought her back. after that i kept going right and she couldnt keep the tempo with me, so i waited and the horse kept following me, that way i knew she still loves me. keep working on this game, its a very cute experience

Even after I sold my horse he still followed me around. This isn't a complaint! That horse is cute as heck.

I made it to the stone castle and then fed it some coins, not sure how many it wanted. I love so much about the idea of this game—it's already super charming, with a little refinement it could be great. I like the long village, makes things easy—but of course you had to put fish stones and stones at opposite ends, didn't you, hahah.

Seems like an interesting idea for a game, but for some reason I couldn't seem to use any of the menus. I'm not sure if it was a bug, or user error, but either way the game's concept seems pretty cool!

Developer

The was a bug that stop the menus from working right, which is most of the game. I uploading a newer version removing the menu that weren't working to get something playable.  Thanks for the feedback.

I gave it another try. I was definitely able to make some progress this time, but for some reason after a while I couldn't buy anything anymore. According to the UI I had money, but the amount changed kinda randomly when I was in certain menus. I did enjoy the bit I played though, so I think the game's idea does work in principle, nice job!

Some features didn't work, and i wasn't really sure what did what, some more clarity was needed, but overall nice idea!

added and bit about bugs, and controls to the description. thanks for the feedback.

I had to guess that there was an inventory screen by pressing I, you should point that out in the description. I tried to sell my horse I think but both Accept and Decline didn't seem to do anything.  I wasn't really sure what "Trade Horses 001->100" meant, 1 horse for 100 gold? A little more guidance and I'm happy to give it another go.

Developer

There was an issue with the menus,  where the keyboard didn't get focus. should be able to get a little bit of play out if it now. Thanks again for the feedback, didn't even look at it after submitting. Lesson learned, will give some time to play testing HTML.

It would be nice if this was asdw so you don't have to move your hand to the mouse, or if you could use the arrow keys to select menu choices.

Thanks for the feedback, I added AWSD and SPACE as controls.
