Always happy to see a sci-fi game.
This was a fun idea. I enjoyed slingshotting myself off bits of debris. The spin/swing controls felt a bit cumbersome/counter intuitive, and I found myself wishing that I could reel myself in in some cases.
On one hand, I felt like the goal of 20 dragged on a bit with there being little to differentiate between debris targets, but I also realise that the larger target means more opportunities to lose crewmembers, which is an element that adds something important to the experience.
I would have loved to have seen some more opportunities for feeling like I was making conscious risk vs reward decisions when choosing where to go, which could be something to investigate if you're planning further development.
I also understand that multiplayer was on the roadmap. I think that'd be pretty exciting if you end up being able to realise that.
yeay completed in 48minutes... It's ... hard. maybe more props floating around would help navigating without spending too much fuel.
Nice! I actually only managed to finish it once myself and yeah it took awhile. More objects would have made it easier but I kinda liked the helpless feeling of empty space you get when you mess up :)
yes, it's a bit too much hopeless :)
Any hints on the best way to play? It seems a neat game but I can't seem to get very far in it.
It's tough, and in hindsight I should have made it 10 fuel instead of 20 for single player. (I originally wanted to add multiplayer). One trick you can do is move just a little ways away from the ship and hit space to abandon a crewman. Now you can grapple onto the dead crewman to get further out without spending too much propellant. It's a little grim but it works! :D
