It was giving me the instructions to defend something on the first levels but I was dead before I was even done reading it :( I love the art style though, gameplay needs some work
Haha, thanks for trying DD! Yep, it's bugged to oblivion :P The enemy spawning system broke within hours of the deadline, so we just threw some slimes into the scene - they don't play by the rules and will just wail on you during the UI popups xD So the gameplay's all there, it's just not remotely accessible. RIP!
Seems like a cool concept, and the art is amazing :D. Too bad you didn't have the time to finish it though.
It looks great however it does not have any map colliders on the first map, if you run out the back in your under the map. while your under the map you can not use the menu?? you can not use the menu if you run of the map. i also managed to break the shooting it only shoots downward, the abandon run button does not work. so im struggling to play however after the jam if you keep working on it id love to see it.

I don't understand how it's supposed to fit the theme. I've also no idea of what I must do after killing the slimes. On the other side... those graphics... it's wonderfull to be able to make art like this in game jam! The gameplay is also very dynamic ( maybe a little too much ). Gg!
Yep, it all fell apart in the last couple hours! There's a gemcrafting scene after each level, where you can add modular effects like explosions and damage types to your weapon, or buy turrets and equip them similarly. Unfortunately the wave spawning totally fell apart and we had to tape together workarounds, and you can't even end the first level! Oh well, that's game jams for you.

I loved the art style. The animations were great too. I didn't find the crafting part yet. I'm guessing you put it in the later levels or something. It would be good to see the slimes shadow or something so that I can predict where they are and where they will jump. Music was good too. And yeah like already mentioned in the comments the map had a problem; currently I have to click on the first dash on the left dotted line to start the game. That was a bit weird. Nice game though, I would love to play it if you release it and see where it goes story wise.

Hmm, we have a shadow asset already made, so I'll see about that getting that quickly hooked up to a projector or something for a patch. Map UI issues noted, I probably just didn't test with enough screen resolutions.
the game doesn't really fit the theme well, but it looks amazing. the actual game play is kind of bland and the fact i could walk through the cave wall and into the endless void was a bit weird. the gun never actually aimed at the cursor for me. the defend the drill pop up thing got me killed multiple times since the slimes got me while i couldn't see.
the part where i killed the slimes was fun but not as fun as it would be if i could actually aim.
also the map thing was wierd and it took me 5 minutes of randomly clicking to get into the level. after that i got in quite quickly.
Thanks for playing! Yeah, time constraints got us. There's a whole gemcrafting crafting system after the first level (which is currently totally unreachable!)
Sorry to hear about the aiming issues - I spent ages working on aim correction, so it's supposed to be working nice and smooth. I'll look into that for a patch. Thanks for the feedback <3
Whenever I click new run, it takes me to a map and it wouldnt go further
Ah thanks, something must be wrong with our UI scaling! I'll get that fixed.
