Cozy, clean and chill game! this game has potential to be a fun bridge connecting like puzzle game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! After judging is over I’m gonna be able to update it and add in the gameplay elements I didn’t get to do because I ran out of time.

Very chill and enjoyable game. I wish there were some more mechanics to make it more engaging. It’s a good foundation though

Developer

Thank you, I had to cut them because I ran out of time so I’m gonna spend a couple days finishing it off when judgings over

Love the game vibes and aesthetics, it's really chill and feels really nice. I also really love the camera movement you used there; it makes the game really unique. The game could have been a bit more challenging though, as it feels repetitive, but still well done in 48 hours. Love it.

Developer

Thank you!

Very nice aesthetics, I really like how it's put together and the world is nicely done. I liked the mechanic at first - collect stuff to build stuff. But since it was only about building bridges, it got a little dull after the second bridge since there was no variety in this game mechanic. I think the camera angle was interesting at first, with objects hidden behind trees, but that combined with the relatively slow movement and linear progression, impacted the fun I had with this game. I think with some player choice, puzzles, or perhaps another way to add variety to the gameplay, it would improve the experience and would allow for more content. But I enjoyed the five minutes it took me to find both the loot and my buddies :D good job overall!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I agree with what you saying. Had to cut my ideas for more gameplay because of time, and a few people have said the player was too slow which I’ve now noticed myself and improved with some other things. Gonna upload when judgings over, but thank you for really nice comment and taking the time I appreciate it!

Fun game ^-^ I loved walking around and building the bridges, I to make the game a little more engaging you could of had the player shake the trees to get the wood, have them click on the trees or something. also there's a spot you can get stuck behind the rock of the bottle pick up.

Developer(+1)

That is very close to the original idea haha, had to cut it because of time constraints and just plop the materials besides the trees instead. The spots you can get stuck in I fixed this morning but I’ll have to wait till judging is over to update it. Thanks for the nice comment!

I like the camera movement design. On paper I would expect it to feel frustrating that I can't control it directly, but it adds to the chill pace of this game, almost forcing you to slow down and look around :) Nice!

Developer

Haha yeah I didn’t have time for a controller so I’m happy it turned out alright

Very nice game, I love the ending and animations there! Lots of bugs with falling into rocks or random areas easily but luckily there is a respawn button. Overall neat little fun game just player moves a bit slow for my liking, otherwise very well executed!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you, when judgings over I’m gonna add in perimiter colliders and make the player faster it has been the main thing people have said.

Submitted(+1)

very well executed, insane amount of work for the short time! congrats!!

Developer

Thank you thats a huge compliment!

Fell in a hole when exploring right before the finish line.

I really like the camera movement. How did you do the camera?

Developer

Theres the respawn button for when that happens I didn’t have time to add in the proper colliders and the camera uses Unitys cinemachine which is really cool

Submitted(+1)

If you use a rigidbody, you can freeze the y axis. That is what we ended up doing due to buggy colliders 😆

Haha nice, I’m a total noob with 3D Player Controllers, this was my first ever one so now I know that is a thing lol

Submitted(+1)

It is a good idea, but the execution does hamper it a lot. The movement is really slow, making the short distances you need to travel take to long. The camera itself is not bad, but often you need to backtrack and rescan your island to find you have missed a plank which was completely hidden and impossible to see because of the camera. It was also a bit dull. The gameplay option Thank god there was a respawn option, since there was a gab around the last collectible. BTW Esc is not a good menu button, since the input gets eaten by unity when in full-screen. Overall, it was a fine game, and best wishes for further projects.

Developer

Good feedback thank you, you all of those are down to being my first time doing a player controller with movement / camera and a game in WebGL but I can tweak them easily in 5-10 minutes

Very good game for 48 hours. Did you get any sleep? I think you might win. Not many submissions are great. Most are unfinished, including mine.

Developer

Thank you so much, I got a few hours but not alot haha
