Great concept! Some constructive feedback: some reference in the background making different regions of the map unique would help to get to know your universe! Exploring a black box makes you lose track of where you are.
I thought about creating a background during development, but didn't know how to do it without creating a new image. Now I know how I could have done it, but it's too late.
