Good game, fun to play even against myself ^^, really enjoyed it! And it was awesome having you on stream! Here's the VOD if you want to check that out again: (yours starts at 1:54 right after the intro)

Nice to see a multiplayer strategy game.  Good play on the theme.  I think most people avoid these for such short game jams.  Some music and sound effects would have added a lot to the game.  I'd also have liked some indicator of the area a unit can cover.

Thanks for the feedback, if I return to this concept those are both on the list of things I'll add.

Woow that is a rare one to see! A multiplayer game, I actually got my girlfriend to come and play with me! I really loved the strategic part (as you may see from the game I made) and you exploited it pretty well!

One thing that could've been nice is seeing the possible tiles where the plane can go, I found myself constantly testing each way to kind of see if the plane could go there

Apart from that I had a lot of fun playing it, you can be proud of what you made 😄

Thank you for the feedback! Strategy games like this are always fun but I never made one before, decided I might as well now because if all the units are planes then I don't need to check for the unit going over water.

Played this with my partner and we had quite a bit of fun. There was a turn I skipped buying planes on accident and about 90% of my partners turns they forgot to buy planes.

A gold counter somewhere on screen, even if just plane text on screen would be nice.

I’m not sure if we missed out on a feature, the planes looked to have health bars but we couldn’t figure out how to attack. Because of this, the small plane seemed like the best plane to buy

I enjoyed having multiple types of buildings spread around the map as it allowed for both of us to play very differently, giving it that competitive strategy feel.

Great entry to the jam, keep it up!

Thanks for the feedback, glad you had some fun! I forgot to put it in the in-game tutorial, but you attack an enemy plane by putting yours next to theirs, and then selecting their plane.

Nice first prototype, I get the type of game you are going for. Just played a game against myself to get an idea of how it works.
The game might become more interesting with more mechanics, so there is a additional layer of strategy added to it.

Imagine the planes having specific movement rules and such. But also the ability to hinder the other player from reaching similar goals. Enabling the players to outwit each other would make it very interesting.

Good job on the release!

Thanks for the feedback! It's not very clear so you may have missed it, but it is possible for you to attack and destroy enemy planes. The medium planes were originally going to be able to place down their own flags as a way to diversify them, but I ran out of time and didn't add that.

Local multiplayer only? I have no friends. :(

Sorry, I couldn't figure out the AI. I want to come back to this idea at some point, so when I do I'll either implement working AI, some sort of unique single-player mission mode, or online multiplayer.

Interesting gameplay, especially with more players, the objective is to capture an area and not the amount of planes taken out, fits in with the theme set down, sound effects would make such a difference.
