Thanks for playing the game.
Unreal is really good for 2D. I haven't used any other engine but my experience with 2D was good in unreal. You can add things easily and it provides greater flexibility over designing complex things.
An example of what can be achieved in Unreal:
If you want to use unreal for 2D, my recommendation would be to learn character animations and use of flipbooks for making those animationsGreat :)
I am also brushing up my skills in unreal. May be we can team up and make a game together someday.
I started learning 2D with this tutorial series. Hope it helps you too- http://www.gamefromscratch.com/page/Unreal-Engine-2D-Game-Development-Tutorial-S...
lol love the Memification of Jim in this :P Very funny! Graphics were cool and the sound was awesome. The only criticism I really have is the controls. In my case I just found them to be quite cramped and using W for jump just feels...weird. The other problem is only having WSAD means anybody using the AZERTY keyboard layout (The French for example) are gonna have a really hard time playing your game, so it's good to consider alternate controls when making your game. Nice job :)
I would love to play this, but it sadly crashes when I start it :(
