I like the gradual difficulty increase in platforms being dropped as time goes on. I think a possible improvement would be to have the platforms that hold the crank that re-raises platforms and father time move around the outside, as I tended hang around the left hand-side in order to prevent a scenario where I couldn't make the jump to the crank platform.

I really enjoyed bouncing off of the time angels head and attempting to land on another time angel -  Perhaps consecutive bounces could factor into the score or even give better time bonuses? There was an instance where I jumped on two angels simultaneously and bounced even higher.

Overall, a fun little survival game.

Thank you for playing, and I appreciate your feedback! In our original design there were cranks on all four corners so you could always move to the closest crank, but some script designs made that functionality...problematic so we scrapped it. It would've been fun if Father Time had moved up and down or around the platforms, that would've been very dynamic!

I think making a combo system would be an excellent idea!

Fun to play and simple to get into. I like the music, would lower the volume on the sound effects a bit and would show the score while playing. Beides that I enjoyed it!

Developer

Haha I appreciate the comment! I wanted to make something ready to pick up and play for a couple of minutes whenever you had time.

I wanted to make a basic music/volume settings page, but I couldn't due to time constraints. Next time for sure!

very cool game. I liked this simple graphics and i have enough fun to play it, i dont even find any bad things:)

Developer

Thank you so much guys for taking the time to play! I really appreciate it, and I'm glad you had fun!

Pretty fun highscore game! However, I think the view is an issue. Because you look from so high up, its a bit hard to guess how high you currently are. But the game has an menu, catchy title music and fitting gameplay

Developer

Thank you for playing! Yes, I agree that the view definitely needs some work. My team's original idea was to emulate the style of the Mushroom Mix-Up minigame from Mario Party, but it didn't turn out quite as clean as I was hoping.

For me, the controls worked out well, though I feel like we could have just jumped on a button to pull up the gears again, that way the whole core mechanic is to jump on things :)

The AI looked confused once they had no clear path to me, and perhaps the game should not choose gears on the map in a way where you could isolate yourself into one and just watch the rest of the round unfold.

If you collect a bunch of the enemies together and jump on top of them at the same time you can launch yourself to space. While the falling aim was tricky to figure out, perhaps a clearer shadow would help there.

The first round I played I had no idea what to do, perhaps the tutorial screens could be played once if you detect that a player has no high score yet. In that first round, I made almost all the enemies jump down, and at the end of the match, the result screen was going haywire with one of the sounds.

I would be interested to see a version where you actually rotate with the gears so that you need to battle a lot more with that as once you understand what to do, you can go pretty long with the current setup and a bit of drunk-movement would be a fun thing to see, especially in a coop!

I appreciate the well thought out response!

I agree that the AI definitely needs some work. Our team was very surprised at how difficult it was to make cohesive enemy logic when many of the platforms they travel around could "disappear" and "reappear". Our solution was definitely one of the solutions ever designed, but it was a good learning experience nonetheless.

Putting the tutorial instructions on the screen during a first playthrough is a brilliant idea, I wish I had thought of it!

Fun fact, there actually IS logic to make the player rotate with the gears! I can't remember if it is still active or not, but it is definitely in the code buried somewhere.

Again, thanks for playing. :)

I really like the concept and its implemented very well, the player controls also felt very responsive and nice to use! Landing on enemies and taking them out also felt very satisfying, I particularly liked the attention to detail in the way that the cogs realistically turn one another too. The projectiles and the effects they add to the player also added depth to gameplay which was another really nice touch.

I had this as feedback on one of my jam games a while ago, but something for 3D platformers is having a constant shadow directly under the player so they know specifically where they're above as it can sometimes be hard to judge with perspective- I think this might have helped when at one point I was thrown quite high into the air, but apart from that the gameplay didn't suffer from this as the shadow that was there was personally enough for me!

Overall, I had a lot of fun playing and you've just got to love the parkour element that falling platforms have! Great game!

Developer

Thank you so much for that great feedback! I was thinking about putting a small white outline on the ground where the player would land to help the player gauge their location. With your feedback, looks like I definitely should do that!

I'm glad you found the game satisfying to play, I tried to add as much juiciness as I could in the time I had. :)

Your Game is pretty nice. It's a great Idea, but the Controls and the Enemies felt weird. You did a good Job!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback -- I completely agree. The isometric camera looked pretty cool visually, but it was difficult to gauge depth and where the player was.

Unfortunately by the time the team realized this it was too late to change something as integral as the camera. Oh well, lessons learned for the next project!

Really nice game! One thing I would change is how the enemies can only push you around when you're in the air, because this way they are kinda harmless.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Originally the enemies were much heavier and dealt damage on impact, but those were eventually changed to make the player feel like they had more control of the game's pacing. You could get dogpiled and launched off the gears pretty easily, but maybe I should reconsider bringing that back!

This was really fun! This gives off some Fall Guys vibes and I love the mechanic of rewinding the gears that have fallen down! Great work :)

Thank you very much! Always wishing I could've done more, but I'm proud of what I have nonetheless. I appreciate you playing! :)
