Unfortunately lagged for me too much to play, and the red is soooo RED! Please have mercy on us all, haha.
This game gave me big Hotline Miami vibes, which I very much enjoyed. I had some issues with lagging when combat started. There's some good music here, it helps sell the atmosphere.
Really love the graphics in this, even if it took a second to get used to it. It reminds me a lot of old school ASCII games and their addon tilesets. Gameplay was really fun as well!
Pretty cool game ! strange graphics but realy looks great !
Some parts of your game are well implemented. Hiding in boxes only works when you are not moving, which is great. Also controls and audio feedback work pretty well.
As for the visuals: It was hard in the beginning to differentiate walls and stone paths(?) Both look solid, which let me several times in thinking I am standing behind a wall. The games page has some strange color combos (orange link texts on red background - uff...)
I got spotted several times without being in a cone of sight and without any enemy being visible.
And a minimap or any kind of map would have been really helpful. I think I was running around in circles several times w/o finding the Cesar. I expect Brutus was familiar with that place, so a map would have been an adaquate choice.
Thanks for your entry!
I really like the concept. Hiding in boxes and the sight radius of the guards. How very MGS of you.. I had fun playing and I love a good maze. Great job!
