Super creative style, great work! Here's a link to my playthrough and feedback... https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1608861556?t=00h42m13s
Cool art style platform gameπ!
GAMEPLAY
I got to the end third time around. Nice end effect with the smoke etc. The dark atmosphere was nice and the creepy black stuff did make you go forwards π ! But because it was dark not all obstacles and art was very good visible or recognizable. But that did not affect the gameplay a lot. Maybe some extra variety in obstacles and machines and powerups would be a benefit for an update. I just rushed towards the end now. Some extra levels with different challenges could be something for an update also. But fun to get to the end!
GRAPHICS/ART
Very unique art style. Dark and abstract and a bit grim but nice for the eyes. And all was in a coherent style with the effects as also the audio.
AUDIO
The darkness sound was a bit creepy as it should. Good audio soundtrack during the main game that fitted the overall atmosphere well. Sound effects were fine too.
THEME
Absorbing the light and not being absorbed. Not to crazy but it checked the theme.
Overall a fun little speed platformer game to play πͺ!
PS: And AI art? (not read the devlog yet)
yup as you will have read by now it's 100% modified AI art from the background to the smoke participles in the flip book shader at the end, to the various layers of the darkness.
Yes, I read.. Very cool π!
very nice game, complete it in the second round e.e nice art you use, very well.
Hi, I can't play the game because the window is too big for my (1300x768?) computer screen. Some of the text appears cut off like it needs to be fullscreened and nothing I click or any keys I press starts the game or fixes the screen. Is there anything I am missing, because this looks like a fun game and plenty of others have successfully played it.
Really liked the art style. Had trouble spotting the buttons at first but it didnβt take me too long to find them. I liked the sounds u used. Overall, it was a great game and I enjoyed playing it :)
Fun game, really liked the visuals! It wasn't 100% clear to me why some doors opened automaticly and some didn't.
yeah the buttons aren't always obvious. Some of them you'll just hit along the way. In hindsight I should have put something animated on the buttons since I didn't want to colour them
very fun and atmospheric platformer!! the atmosphere of a dying universe is beautifully haunting, almost distracted me from the gameplay lol
the art is serious eye candy, the movement was quite responsive and fluid (sometimes the gravity of the character was confusing but hey, we 're in space :)) the music is a bop and the sounds of the "earth" are ...pleasant :))))
a very solid entry overall!! well done <3
cheers. I use a visual language because I can't code well, so the movement working as well as it did was a surprise to me :D
Nice game! I really laughed when i saw the "Sad" when i died. Solid entry tho nice polishing for sure!
Yeah balance was hard since I was playing it so much. The easter egg is ...cheats... so if you want to finish it eventually you'll be able to :D
Definitely hover was underused, I wanted to have much more level but I spent my dev time on polish rather than making it long.
Glad you enjoyed.
Super cool game, the mechanics were easy enough to understand and the goal was clear. Had a bit of trouble finding the buttons but BunnyViking helped me figure it out.
